This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Performers make stories difficult to enjoy
I listen to all Louis L’Amour Audibles.
I enjoy the stories and replay my favorites. Some of the readers make the stories more enjoyable and some of the performers make it impossible to enjoy the books. There is a quality in their voices that distract from the story rather than enhance it. Sorry to say I have purchased these books and find it impossible to listen to them again because of the readers.
