Not perfect, but thoroughly enjoyable

I'm not sure if there were multiple narrators or if the one couldn't maintain his western drawl for more than a few sentences at a time. Other than that, the story is great and the characters were relatable even to the modern day.

Except for Maggie. Terrible character from her first scene. The attempt to explain her behavior just gave her a victim mentality that made me hate her even more.

At least she is a minor character so you don't have to deal with her much.
