*** MY FAVORITE IN THIS SERIES! ***

Any reader of this genre will probably recognize both Sloane Kennedy's name and, whom I believe 2B her favorite narrator, Michael Dean. They are two of MY favorites, and I purchase everything with their names associated with it.
Sloan Kennedy is a very deep author, often producing some emotionally charged M/M (& more!) romance stories that might put some readers off; more the better, in my view.

This particular book was all that & more. It unfolded flawlessly. Two men, brought together by a woman who saw deeply into both their hearts, knowing how well they could be for one-another, as she had to leave them behind. Angsty doesn't begin to cover all the aspects of their journey, but where it leads was delicious, satisfying, and completely believable.

I won't say more, except to encourage any & all to give yourselves over to this beautiful segment.

the beginning

I think you could say this story is the beginning of the awesome mm stories written by Sloan Kennedy. From here all the rest of the books can trace their path. Michael Pauley brings life to this book.

Amazing Story and Great Listen

I listened to the whole thing in a day. I couldn’t put it down. It made me laugh, cry, hope, and really feel all the feels. Such a great story. Very well-written and the narration was spot on. Thank you!

If you are looking for something to grab your attention and keep it for a long time please pick this series up. It is definitely one of my favorites and I will continue to read or listen to over and over.

Logan and Dom

Logan and Dom are two of my favorite of Sloane's men. This audible version brought them to life in a way reading the book didn't. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially those who love Sloane's stories and her men. And of course Michael Paulette did a fabulous job.

Intense

I really enjoyed this read. I think it’s worth a credit. If you like suspense drama. Also I enjoy 2 alpha males finding love with one another. Probably just me but I’m a sucker for the male that never thought he could feel something for another male.

Interesting and Different

I wish the first 2 books in this series were available on Audible because I feel like I missed a lot of story by jumping right into the third book. That being said, there is enough in this book to keep you interested as it is an original storyline. As usual, Michael does a wonderful job of narrating. Highly recommend.

Lots of grit & angst

This one of those books that is best listened to when you want lot of grit, angst, & push/pull between the MCs as well as May/December and GFY themes.

Logan and Dom are both struggling with immense grief and colliding into a new relationship they both feel guilty about for a variety of reasons. Be ready for a roller coaster of emotions and engaging but sometimes OTT drama.

Michael Dean is fairly dramatic in this one. I tend to speed up the narration to avoid being annoyed by “pregnant pauses” and drawn out drama, but I still enjoy it and have listened to the series multiple times.

I know MM is Sloane Kennedy’s main focus, and this *can* be listened to without having read (SK’s MF books aren’t on audio, but they are in KU) Gabriel’s Rule or Shane’s fall - but you’re missing out if choose to skip those.

Her Escort, Finding, Barretti, & Protectors series are interconnected and you can find suggested reading orders on the author’s website. My personal preference is chronological/timing.

I love this series and all of her books. The narrator was clear and pleasant.
