Superb Writing and Narration

What did you love best about Light of the Moon?

The characters and the writing style.

Who was your favorite character and why?

No one favorite. All were well-drawn, living and breathing.

Which character – as performed by Stella Gonet – was your favorite?

She is a delight to listen to, a true artist. One of the best narrators I have heard. Each character was distinctively rendered and brought achingly alive.

Who was the most memorable character of Light of the Moon and why?

Evelyn: she was young, strong, naive and coming of age frightened and courageous.

Any additional comments?

A stellar book with stellar writing and narration!

Just ok for me

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy WWII historical fiction. This story jumped around a lot in the beginning. It was hard to keep track of the characters. The story line was good but made me want more.....character detail and details to the story line.

WOW ~~ Outstanding !!

What made the experience of listening to Light of the Moon the most enjoyable?

The story and beautiful narration.

What did you like best about this story?

The realistic staging of the story; adding characters individually -including their "back story" so I could appreciate how they became involved with the resistance movement in France during that period of the war.

What about Stella Gonet’s performance did you like?

It is difficult to single out any particular nuance, I just think she was the perfect voice for this book !!

Who was the most memorable character of Light of the Moon and why?

Evelyn St. John.

Any additional comments?

While the outcome of the ill-fated love affair between Evelyn and Paul von Hoch was incredibly sad, it was woven so skillfully into the story that I believed in them until the very end. Some of the other characters were less interesting - Mariette, Guy, Ingrid, etc., but essential to the overall plot.

Exciting Wartime Espionage

This is a wonderfully exciting book from a female spy's point of view in France. I am loving the characters and the frisson between the German officer and our heroine. The descriptions of the many characters brings them to life and the tension of being in wartime France makes me appreciate how heroic these people were. I am absolutely loving this book and would highly recommend it to all my friends and anyone reading this review.
