Publisher's Summary

At the center: the brilliant and beautiful Rowan Mayfair, queen of the coven, and Lasher, the darkly compelling demon whom she finds irresistible and from whose evil spell and vision she must now flee. She takes with her their terrifying and exquisite child, one of "a brood of children born knowing, able to stand and talk on the first day." Rowan's attempt to escape Lasher and his pursuit of her and their child are at the heart of this extraordinary saga. It is a novel that moves around the globe, backward and forward through time, and between the human and demonic worlds. With a dreamlike power, the novel draws the listener through twilight paths, telling a chillingly hypnotic story of occult and spiritual aspirations and passion.

Lasher is Volume 2 of The Mayfair Witches series.

Wish I read the previous post before i bought this

I used to listen to this on tape and the TAPE is better than this. It won't go beyond five minutes in the first chapter and then it skips the entire book and goes to the next audiobook in my library. it sucks.

Horrible, do not waste your credits or money!!!!

The download was incomplete, therefore the entire book was choppy. I am a huge fan of Anne Rice, and love this series, but read it, do not listen to it. This is a HORRIBLE waste of credits and money. DO NOT BUY!!!

Terrible as an Abridged version

Any additional comments?

This whole story line is not good for abridged version. You miss too much of what makes this trilogy so wonderful and horrifying. You miss the soul of story line. Audible, get the unabridged version up.

Anne Rice Is The BEST

Would you listen to Lasher again? Why?

Yes;It's part of a series for 1.The entire series is excellent and to thourouly enjoy it you have to read them all.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lasher?

I think it would have to be when Rowan finally starts fighting back and gets back home to Micheal, and they fight together.

Which scene was your favorite?

See above

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cheered for her fighting back, and I hated it because Lasher raped her and killed their baby.
