Publisher's Summary

Would you try another book from Isabel San Sebastián and/or Pilar Laguna?

No

Would you be willing to try another one of Pilar Laguna’s performances?

Good story, flat reading

The story draws you into the aura and worries of life in the early 9th century. It slows down towards the end of book, starting to resemble more a historical chronicle rather than adventure novel, but is still enjoyable.

The performance is unfortunately among the poorest I've heard on audible, with flat intonation and awkward pauses, reminding you every moment that this is someone reading, rather than performing.
