La vida es un tango, che!

Would you consider the audio edition of La vida es un tango [Life Is a Tango] to be better than the print version?

The audio version is well performed. Very helpful for practicing spanish as spoken in Buenos Aires. Would recommend it rather than the print version. Also one can download the pdf file with the texts and read it while listening.

Would you be willing to try another book from Dolores Soler-Espiauba? Why or why not?

Yes. This is the second audio book I listen to from this same author. I enjoyed both. They have a good combination of an entertaining story with many cultural notes.

Which character – as performed by Mercedes Peralta Sanhueza – was your favorite?

The protagonist Liliana was my favorite.

If you could rename La vida es un tango [Life Is a Tango], what would you call it?

I would call it "La vida es un tango, che"

Any additional comments?

The story is not as well developed as the other book I listened to from the same author. Still I enjoyed it very much. It sounds very typically argentine with many cultural notes and references to places in Buenos Aires. And to the contrary of other reviewers, I liked the sections with tango music. One has to immerse oneself in the culture of the country to fully appreciate it - and enjoy the experience of learning spanish more.

good series for learning but not the best example

This series of simple short stories in different spanish dialects, is great for students of spanish, this one however is a bit shorter than the others, and i had to skip over the awful tango music which kept resurfacing its ugy head.
