Publisher's summary

Hetta Coffey is a woman with a yacht and she's not afraid to use it. A globe-trotting engineer with adventure in her soul, Hetta is determined to solidify her relationship with her long-distance boyfriend, Jenks Jenkins. What better place for a romantic interlude than aboard a yacht in Mexico's hauntingly beautiful and solitary Sea of Cortez?

But where Hetta goes, trouble follows, and chaos is sure to ensue. After a run-in with a couple of sea serpents that threaten to rock the boat, she nevertheless decides to take on a project in the port city of Guaymas. After all, Jenks is headed back to Kuwait, so why not cash in on the best of both worlds by making some dough while living aboard her boat in Mexico?

Once again Hetta's indomitable spirit, stubborn independence and penchant for deceit will keep the reader in stitches as she launches herself and her best friend, Jan, into a sea of trouble. A pesky parrot, a drunken aunt and a shadowy figure who is handsome in a "criminal sort of way" lead to murder, mayhem, kidnapping, and run-ins with several federal agencies on both sides of the border.

Laugh out loud funny

This bird is hilarious. The story is outlandish and unbelievable. Perfect light reading (or listening as in my case). I would have given it 5 stars but the Nacho issue wasn’t resolved and that made me mad. I hope Nacho shows up again.

What age were the characters supposed to be?

Would you try another book from Jinx Schwartz and/or Beth Richmond?

nope

Would you ever listen to anything by Jinx Schwartz again?

yes, for sure

Any additional comments?

I'm out of this demographic but the characters were so shallow and not all that bright. I gave up listening because it just never got better.

terrible just terrible.

Could not finish this the storyline is so nonsensical it's unbelievable. The main character is truly unlikable, she is whiny brat. the rest of the characters are so two-dimensional it's pathetic, the point where I had to put down the book was where is somebody with the gun all the sudden was Charmed into letting them go because so terrible. The "flirting" was more likely to get them shot and that would have been better, as they couldn't end of the book right there and then. I don't understand how anybody like this or this was published.
