Not up to Milly Johnson's usual standard.

I love Milly Johnson books just buy them as they become available. This one however was okay but probably the least favourite of all her books.

Here Come the Girls was great I listened to it quite a few times but this one
definitely is a once only listen.

Very Enjoyable

Milly Johnson never disappoints and the narrator just completes the whole package. I've listened to 6 books of Milly and I hope there are many more to come. Her books are fun and have happy endings.

Love these books and narrator.

Love these books and narrator. Real-ish women characters, real problems, good coverage of this age group. A little too magical for my taste, still good listen.

This is such a silly story

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't really know. Noone? People who like stories about mermaids?

What was most disappointing about Milly Johnson’s story?

That I have enjoyed so many of her other books, and this one was just so silly. I couldn't tell the main characters from each other, and the men they fell in love with, yuk and yuk!

What about Colleen Prendergast’s performance did you like?

She was the only good thing aboyt this book

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

boredom

Hoped the town secret was a joke...

What disappointed you about It's Raining Men?

It started well, a promising chick lit / romantic read... Then came the ridiculous town secret..I mean really?! Everything else was quite realistic but that? So strange! It needed to be either chick lit or fantasy but it just didn't work as a bit of both!

Would you ever listen to anything by Milly Johnson again?

Not if they all follow the strange chick lit/fantasy theme...

Would you be willing to try another one of Colleen Prendergast’s performances?

Yes, it was one of the better things about it

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Minus the silly secret, it was reasonably well written

Amazing Storytelling!!!!

Where does It's Raining Men rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I did not want this book to end!!! It is a wonderful tale full of great characters not to mention the wonderful seaside town in which residents keep a secret and it all adds to the magical warmth of the story.

Can't wait to read more from this author and the narrator is truly awesome!!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the three women who visited this seaside resort!

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The one where Gladys got her just rewards from Raine!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where the owner of the cottage showed the carving of his dead dog to Lara.

Any additional comments?

Totally loved this book so much and will listen to it many a time!!!!

A magical book - dive in

An entrancing book of the signature richly woven characters I've come to look forward to meeting from Milly Johnson's pen.

Colleen Prendergast brings so much of Northern charm to the delivery - a perfect narrator for these books.

I just love this book, Milly Johnson you just get better. As for Colleen Prendergast the books wouldn't be the same without her, she reads them so well.

struggled throug this one.

Any additional comments?

up to this story I have loved all milly Johnson's books. they were true to life and enjoyable.
I don't know who this story is aimed at. as a chicklit/romance it failed on many different levels, as a fantasy it didn't work either.
hope milly Johnson's next book is back to her usual standard.
coleen Prendergast has performed all her books so far and done it well.

Raining Men

I enjoyed this audio book. I sometimes got the girls mixed up at the beginning. I thought the end a little strange. It certainly had a twist to the storyline .

Utter dribble

Narrator talks as if she's addressing an imbecile, just rubbish and a waste of money.

A Little Bit of Magic !

I loved the three friends getting away from it all......but what lays at the bottom (or should I say top) of the mystery of the strange little town the girls find themselves in !
The narrator id very good too.
I would definitely recommend !
