When twins Annie and Lauren attend their older sister Chelsea’s 40th birthday party at the Dorchester Hotel, they wonder why their lives are so different. Why is Chelsea’s devoted husband twirling her round the dance floor, while Annie’s husband has gone fishing and Lauren’s lover is at home with his wife and children?
There and then, they decide it’s time to turn things around. To go all out for what they want, to start living again. The question is: have they left it too late?
Simply could not get into this book I loved Summer Daydreams and Cottage by the Sea but last couple of her books just cannot get into them so will not chance anymore just a waste of a credit
Carole Matthews is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and her books translate well into audio books.
A well narrated very good storyline with believable characters and interesting sub-plots.
You may think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence but sometimes the grass you grow yourself is the greenest of all…
Also it’s always good to have a big aspiration to aim for…

Good book, as usual from Carole Matthews. A few too many mentions of travel place names, but aside from that, easy listening and good to get to know characters.

I loved A place to call home by Carol Matthews, so I was excited to try this one. But the characters were both unbelievable and disappointing and the narrator made them sound 20 years older than they were. I gave it a 2 because there were some LOL moments, but I'd say give this one a pass.
Super story well written & Narrated really well it brings the characters to life.can't wait for on other story by Carole Matthews
This is a nice story but not her best book. The narrator is good at female voices but all her male voices sound the same and this can quite irritating.
