Publisher's summary

The beloved Fannie Flagg is back and at her irresistible and hilarious best in I Still Dream About You, a comic mystery romp through the streets of Birmingham, Alabama, past, present, and future.

Meet Maggie Fortenberry, a still beautiful former Miss Alabama. To others, Maggie’s life seems practically perfect - she’s lovely, charming, and a successful real-estate agent at Red Mountain Realty. Still, Maggie can’t help but wonder how she wound up in her present condition. She had been on her hopeful way to becoming Miss America and realizing her childhood dream of someday living in one of the elegant old homes on top of Red Mountain, with the adoring husband and the 2.5 children, but then something unexpected happened and changed everything.

Maggie graduated at the top of her class at charm school, can fold a napkin in more than 48 different ways, and can enter and exit a car gracefully, but all the finesse in the world cannot help her now. Since the legendary real-estate dynamo Hazel Whisenknott, beloved founder of Red Mountain Realty, died five years ago, business has gone from bad to worse - and the future isn’t looking much better. But just when things seem completely hopeless, Maggie suddenly comes up with the perfect plan to solve it all.

Fannie Flagg it's my favorite traveling companion

I Still Dream About You was a novel of epic proportions. Fannie Flagg served up a satisfying dish of intermingled plots infused with flavourful characters topped off with mystery and intrigue and sprinkled with micro bits of historical facts. I loved it.

Delightful characters Wonderful narrator

Fannie Flagg brings such a wonderful story to the listener both through her writing and her reading. To have the main plot point be the first person narrator planning to "jump in the river" and yet be delightful, not depressing is a feat in itself. Fannie brings a wonderful, warm, evocative picture of Birmingham, Alabama that keeps the listener entranced to the very end.

Fannie is the best ❤️

What a wonderful story and a woman, that has a goal in mind. Unfortunately, life has a way of getting in the way.
What a tale to tell 😊 I adored it!!! God bless Miss Alabama ❤️ Tuscaloosa Home Sweet Home

Delightfully Farfetched and Humorous

Just what the doctor ordered for escape to a kinder more hopeful place! Wonderful character development and a narration by Fanny Flagg, herself, made this listen a gem!

Did Not Disappoint! Typical Fannie Flagg

I'm a huge fan of Fannie Flagg, minus one book, "The Whole Town's Talking", but that's another story/review.

This one is typical Fannie!! Some honest to God laugh out loud moments, many very touching vignettes. I was sort of sad when it ended.

Fabulous story and reader!

I love all of Fannie Flagg's stories and this was no exception. She reads her own stories so well that you wouldn't ever want someone else to read them! This book is funny, entertaining and sad in parts...a great read!

Love this writer and this book.

This story is so real. You can easily relate to what the characters think and do. I listen to the book while walking my dog and I am constantly laughing out loud at the characters antics. One funny episode involved a character who was in Overeaters Anonymous falling off the wagon and being caught at it. LOL funny. I plan on reading every book by this author.
