For fans of Jojo Moyes' The Girl You Left Behind, this is the prequel novella, Honeymoon in Paris. Sophie, a provincial girl, is swept up in the glamour of Belle époque Paris but discovers that loving an artist like Edouard brings undreamt of complications. Following in Sophie's footsteps 100 years later, Liv, after a whirlwind romance, finds her Parisian honeymoon is not quite the romantic getaway she had been hoping for....
I listened to this before the main story 'The Girl You Left Behind'. Although this is not an essential prequel it is a nice introduction to the main characters and stands up as a charming story in its own right.

An enjoyable book to listen to. nicely done by covering two couples from different times both with different barriers but both wanting the same thing. Excellent soft read and easy to listen to.

I really wanted to read this after reading the girl you left behind and it didn't let me down.
Lovely story to finish the weekends with .
I really enjoyed the two storyline past and presented 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Great narration. Well written but the two young women are aggravatingly easily upset in the early days of their marriages! However, it means that the author can take them on a journey of discovery... An enjoyable listen.
Creative and interesting story. Keeps you wondering how it will end.
made my commute go very quickly.

Great characters which are sufficiently developed for this character driven novella.
