Enjoyed the story

Here to stay was an enjoyable story, about a young woman who had taken care of her younger, blind brother since her mother had disappeared when they were young. The story has some mystery to it, which I loved, as well as romance. The narrator did a great job telling the story, and it's one I'd listen to again.

Great story & performance but to many pauses

Loved this book but to many pauses Long pause between chapters and between where story changes occur. In fact I checked my device to see if it shut off. If the story wasn't so good I would not have finished it.

Another good one.

I am a sucker for animal stories within these books. Love being able to feel I know a lot of the characters having met them in so many other books. I wish I had read them in sequence but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Not up to this Author’s Standards

I guess I’m just not an audible person. I don’t like the same person doing all of the voices because, well they’re not good. I did not like male voices done by a female and especially multiple male voices because they sounded almost cartoonish and comical and it took a considerable amount of the pleasure out of the book. Luke and Cookie’s voices were really grating. The love scenes felt weird with a female voice and then a male-female voice. I thought this narrator had a very pleasant voice if she had just read the book. I love Catherine Anderson books, but the last couple of this series have really just not held up. She can make me cry and laugh out loud, but this book just does not get me there. The characters are very one dimensional feeling and the relationship is definitely one dimensional because the book did not deal enough w/ the relationship between Zack and Mandy. At some point, I felt the story should be named a man in his horse. I didn’t have a problem with that storyline but it seemed more of the central story that the couple. Normally at the end of a Catherine Anderson work, I am left wanting more; however, with this one and the last couple in this series I was ready to be through probably 2/3 of the way through.
