Publisher's Summary

It seems like an easy assignment for an assertive but sweet woman like Gracie Snow: track down her friend, Bobby Denton, a famous ex-jock, and bring him to Heaven (Texas, that is) to shoot a movie. How could he refuse a glamorous offer like that?

Easy, if you've got a big ego, a 1957 T-Bird, and prefer cruising the highways for girls. Still, Bobby can't get Gracie, an angel, out of his mind. Why not head to Heaven, raise a little hell, and let Gracie look out for the consequences?

Great Listen

If you have read or listened to some of SEP other books about the Chicago Stars football team then you will enjoy Bobby Tom Denton's story with Gracy. I didn't laugh as much as some of her other books and the ending was kind of corny but I still give it 5 stars. It is a great escape and with Anna Fields narration you just can't go wrong.

Totally entertaining

I love every book that this author writes and the narrator is the very best I have ever heard. Great story with wonderful characters fully developed. Had me laughing out loud at times. Wonderful ending as usual.

Witty and wonderful romantic story.

Many funny scenes. I also enjoyed a secondary romance happening for Bobby's widowed mother Suzy. She was in her 50's and it was a nice change to see romance for someone that age. The epilogue was cut from the book, but you can read it on the author’s web site. It’s nice.

AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR:
Anna Fields did a great job with male and female voices.

DATA:
Narrative mode: 3rd person. Story length: 371 pages. Swearing language: strong including religious swear words, but not often used. Sexual language: moderate with the f-word used once. Number of sex scenes: about 8, some were briefly referred to. Setting: 1990's mostly Telarosa, Texas. Copyright: 1995. Genre: humorous contemporary romance.

Entertaining

I listened to the entire book without a break. The characters were pretty realistic, and delightful as was the story line with just enough unexpected twists to make the read good.

'R' rated

Fun, laugh-out-loud story. Cute plot. Too much sex. The narrator had just the perfect tone of voice for the main female character.

I love Bobby Tom and Gracie

Gracie and Bobby Tom had a fun ride (for the reader) on their road to HEA with a spectacular finish.

Not her best

I enjoyed the audible, but the story felt sexist to me and condescending to women.
