Publisher's Summary

Samad is one of the most dangerous bosses on the streets - don ' even think about crossing him! If you do, just be prepared for the consequences of your actions. His main focus has always been about gettin money, and hustlin', until he meets Heat. Falling in love with her, and making her his woman, was never on his radar....

Heat's ex-boyfriend was murdered, and as a result she gave up on love, and closed her heart up thinking she would never find love...until she meets Samad. Their paths crossed for a reason. Aaron steps up filling in while the boss is away, only to find out business and money was not handled right, which opens the door questioning everyone's loyalty and position.

Moe has his eyes on Heat - he will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants, no matter who gets in the way. Unique, and ebony, are heat's best friends their bond is as strong as BFFs can be. Ebony only deals with a certain type of guy in the streets: hustlers. Her only concern is gettin' money from them, even if it means transporting a few kilos and guns state to state as long as it keeps her pockets full.

Unique is in denial about the domestic abuse going on in her relationship with her baby daddy. However, behind closed doors she deals with the abuse until one day it turns deadly. How do you kill someone, move on, and act as if nothing happened with blood on your hands, when the blood belongs to someone you once loved? Keeping it a secret was part of the plan...until the body starts decomposing....

When you cross people, be very clear murder comes along with the territory. Keep your eyes open in these streets, and your mouth closed....

solid book.

it was a solid book. great twist and turns to the story. the narrator did okay, but not on a level of Cary Hite, Nicole Small, or Snoozi.

Kept you interested

I loved it, the book for sure keeps you interested at the same time pisses you off because things don't go as expected or desired. It left me at the end of my seat and I was mad that it ended. I wanted more and can't wait for the next book. it left me hanging so there has to be more.

This was a really good book. Waiting on Book 2!!

I really enjoyed this book. I read the reviews in this one & decided to take. chance on it & I wasn't disappointed. I thought this one was gonna be boring but boy was I surprised. Deception never truly comes from your enemy's. Its always a family member or friend. Looking forward to book 2!

Awesome Book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this book to anyone and I did. The narrator was GREAT and she narrated very well. Superb job Wahida. I like you books because most are based on true life events.

Wahida Clark you need better narrators!

if your writing for a character who is 18 - 20 years old then the person reading the story shouldn't sound like they are in their 40's! and why is it every time you can here them take a pause or clear their throat? is there no direction? I have returned 6 of your books due to poor narrator's!
