Publisher's summary

The Red Bottom Bandits may be the world's most fashion-forward gang of masked outlaws. They're the talk of DC for their daring robberies and fly gear. And their latest caper is penned by Ashley Antoinette (of Ashley & JaQuavis) at her sultry, streetwise best.

When the innocent, naïve Gucci recognizes ringleader Sunny Raegan during a holdup, that's her "in" with the Bandits. Knowing she's got a lot more beauty than brains, Gucci sees the gang as her meal ticket. More likely, they'll be her ticket to the morgue!

The Bandits may be lawless, but they play by a few simple rules: Get in and get out, shoot first and ask questions later, never leave without the money, and innocent people don't get hurt. But it's only a matter of time before all these rules get broken - and that's when Gucci gets caught!

If there's one thing a girl needs, it's a little help from her friends. But her "friends" have skipped town without giving her a second thought. And Sunny is distracted by her new baby and her violent ex-lover. So Gucci's on her own. She's on trial for her life, and she must decide whether to snitch on the girls - or take the fall all by herself. Whichever she chooses, it may be her death sentence.

ok

pros
another chance to experience new work
relationship between navid and reagan
display of loyalty, compassion (at the beginning of each girls relationship with each other
narrator iikane has a pleasant voice

cons
another dismal ending
another sequel to wait for as of my listening date its been 4 or 5 years I believe since this book was first published
narrator iikane's delivery style-stopping in mid sentence long enough for you to think the audio stopped

random
what was the reason behind naming the book after a small supportive player?
Can one of this author's characters have a decent ending? If they are not handicapped or killed, their lives are so miserable its unbelievable. Pain doesn't always make for good drama.

Gloom !

I'm just tired of the gloomy ending every time. I expected it but I still was surprised with the outcome. I still love this author though and her work.

Mummm

The ending was kind of pointless unless there was going to be a sequel! She would get off on a self defense charge right? no one saw the gash in her stomach? I was disappointed in the ending. Plus how does she get the worst of it when Channel is the reason she was in that situation in the first place?

Whyyyy Regannnnnnn

I’m so mad at the ending!!! The narrator brings the story to life I was clenching my teeth feeling every moment. Why did you have to do Reagan like that?

Love the story

Ashley usually writes about flint or ny and it was obvious in the book because it was supposed to take place in dc/dmv area but the language didn’t reflect that at all. Still loved the story though!

TOO FAST

I had to move from chapter 3 to chapter 35 just to leave this review. I have already listened to all the Ethics, Butterflies, and Prada Plans. This book started after Prada Plan 5 and I could not handle how fast she was reading. She didn’t pause at the right times and read as though she was trying to hurry and finish to go pick her kid up from school. It was terrible so I stop the book and I am now looking for another book to listen to.
This narrator IT’S NOT GOOD!!!!
