Lovely ending

The ending left me wishing for a very positive outcome for Batman in the city of superheroes. Great story.

OUTSTANDING!

A great story... So very different to the usual.. And the pace and intonation of the reading was perfect. Thanks to the ABC interview today for introducing me to Nick Earls as a writer.

Great read

Enjoyed this story the whole way through, but particularly liked the unexpected final plot twist.

Really got me in the end

I really wasn't sure about this at the start, why did I care about the indulgent life of a rap star or brat which is how he really comes across.

But when the beautiful Ariel came into the picture, the contrast was amazing, how lucky some people appear even when they dont come across as deserving compared to those innocents who can't seam to catch a break.

The joy portrayed in the park from both father and daughter was outstanding and the slide scene brought me to tears.

Builds slowly to a great story

It's a moving coming together of culture, cultures and humanity in a pithy short story that has depth, breadth and almost squeezes out a palette of emotions from the reader by tale's end!

Heartfelt story

Would you listen to Gotham again? Why?

yes, I think I'd pick up more subtext on the second listen

What did you like best about this story?

Liked the first person PoV, I liked the twist

Did Rhys Muldoon do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

Yes. Though weird hearing an actor I know we'll put on an American accent. But once I got used to that it was good. Made me feel empathy with the main characters.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Superheroes are everywhere

Great short story with plenty of heart

It was a great story with plenty of emotion. Rhys Muldoon read the story perfectly and captured that great Aussie heart within the world. Really recomend it for anyone who loves music or wants to see an alternative side of journalism.
