Publisher's summary

It was a chance for a new beginning and a better life for a wagon train of hopefuls leaving the war-torn South to relocate in Kansas. Unfortunately, new enemies and old habits die hard, and the truth can come to mean very little. Out-manned and out-gunned, Ruben, Marion, and Homer put their lives on the line as they saddle up and fight for what is right on the Glory Trail.

Superb

If there is a better story teller in American history then I don’t know who that is. Lewis performs as well as he writes and has built character that you come to love. Well done

Glory Trail

Absolutely loved it as I do with all I have listened to so far which is all but one I have not listened to. David R. Lewis is a great story teller with many wonderful voices. Once I start listening it is hard to turn off, hate to see each one end. make you laugh, be thoughtful, sad and angry at times. Great series!!!!!!

Very attached to these characters

First I have to start with that this is not a genre I read, but with that said, these books belong in my top 5 favorite series. The characters, setting and narrative keep me waiting with high anticipation for each new book. As with most series it’s best to start with book one. I Highly recommend this wonderful journey through these characters lives, who if the series was to lose one, I would absolutely be devastated! A bit dramatic... but for me it is just that good.

I love this series.

I was happy to see there was another book in this series. Having the author narrate them has
been a real treat. The books wouldn't be near as good with a different narrator. Love them and hope
there will be more.

great stories, well worth the time and price.

One of the best series I've listened to. The author is an excellent narrator. I'm not an expert but the only mistake I heard in this story was saying one of the characters had a Winchester Yellowboy chambered in 45 Colt. The original was only chambered in 44 rimfire, the same as the Henry rifle. Looking forward to more from Mr. Lewis.

THANK YOU KINDLY MR. LEWIS

Any additional comments?

Thank you kindly Mr. Lewis. I've been waiting for number 8 and. like all the ones before, it didn't disappoint.
You do a great job of the narration Sir, and I'd like you to know that your voice has been heard all over a greater part of Australia, whilst I drive loooong distances.
When I was a boy, the books of Biggles were my constant companions along with my horse and dogs. I lived in a remote part of the world.
Your "Trail" series could well reach that experience for me in my old age. They are a comfort to me.
Now that Miss Harmony has a daughter, and Marian has his home, it might be time for a fourth musketeer (as it were), and the series will go on and on.
Keep up the good work Mr. Lewis. I bet there are a lot like me.

Loved all 8 books in series!!!

This is my favorite western author. I enjoyed reading over 100 Louis Lamour western novels during my 20's. Now I am in my late 60's and both love the western stories and exciting narration by David R. Lewis. I anxiously wait for each new book. I feel the characters are authentic. They are tough as nails when need be yet compassionate when it comes to rescuing the weak or needy. They hold the spirit of the ancient knights of the round table although they were born in the latter part of the 1800's. Begin listening to this series from the first book and you will eagerly listen to each subsequent book. I laughed at the cowboy jokes and reveled at the way they(U.S. Marshalls)dealt justice in the savage years following the civil war.
