What an AWFUL, SICKING and SAD story!! NO STARS!

What would have made Fifty Shades of Grey better?

Not using a 21 year old virgin as a sex character in every abusive ways possible!! Slow destruction of a young girl mentally, sexually and spiritually by a rich freak and very clearly sick in the head whom pry on young innocent girl(s) to satisfy his sick fetish! The writer should have used an experienced female sex addict nympho maniac that wanted to be a part of the whole sick bedroom play thing!!!

Has Fifty Shades of Grey put you off other books in this genre?

YES IT HAS! BIG TIME!!!

Would you be willing to try another one of Becca Battoe’s performances?

NO...NO NO

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NO! HORRIBLE!

Any additional comments?

Yes, I would love to speak with the Author as this story has had a vey uncomfortable effect on me!! Civilized confrontation might set this negative emotion free!

implausable storyline and slow to boot

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not particularly, often cheesy and predictable. The main characters were implausible and the storyline was generally slow to boot.

Would you ever listen to anything by E. L. James again?

Probably not

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

Well narrated

Could you see Fifty Shades of Grey being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

I wouldn't be interested

Any additional comments?

Disappointing

ridiculous

What disappointed you about Fifty Shades of Grey?

abysmal plot ( or rather lack thereof). sexy? not really, sex scenes very moderate - and bordering on ridiculous. Complete lack of character development - on both parts; dialogue stilted and boring. Laughable - in fact is should be classified as a parody - at least then folks wouldn't be disappointed!

What will your next listen be?

Lee child, I think....

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?

anyone with less whiny voice....

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

some descriptions are funny?

Kinky - But looses its lustre after a while

This book will certainly have you hot under the collar but it's just a little predictable in the end and there's only so much you can listen about spanking before it looses its excitement. The performance by Becca Battoe increases my overall rating for this book because her voice works so well for the main character (Ana) and I guess this book with all its emails and txts is trying to be a modern book for a modern era, but seriously - bring back sex, drugs and rock & roll if this is really the best we can do.

What's all the fuss about?

This is a massive case of "King's New Clothes". All the hype surrounding this book makes people believe that it is going to be a real sexy read. NO it isn't.

I found it quite childish. Yes the heroine is put through some strange initiations by Mr Grey but they are far from sexy. Violence in sex to the extent described is perverted and not titillating.

There are far sexier books in the Audible collections (Anne Marie Villefranche, Tessa Stimson, Sophie Kinsella to name but three).

Sorry but I cannot say I enjoyed the book and will not be buying the next two in the series.

Flat, repetitive, cheesy, annoying

What would have made Fifty Shades of Grey better?

Some better story writing skills

What could E. L. James have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Leave out the exchange of emails between Ch and A.

What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I liked her voice

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Annoyance and disappointment. It was difficult to keep listening after the first half. Too cheesy

Any additional comments?

20 hours of sexual fantasy, that gets predictable, and annoying after short while. Christian is a cross between Batman, James Bond, and McGyver.

would of been amazing if not for the narrator

Is there anything you would change about this book?

no i have always loved the books and thought it would be nice to listen to them instead.

Who was your favorite character and why?

christian grey for sure lol u just feel him pull u in to the story

What didn’t you like about Becca Battoe’s performance?

i didnt like her trying to play the part of the male characters that was the biggest disappointment for me while listening to the story. there should of been both a male and female narrator to tell the story then i would of given it 100/100

If this book were a film would you go see it?

it will be on the 14th feb 2015 and i cant wait to go see it

Any additional comments?

u should be able to change the narrator reading the books if your not happy with them that way everyones happy
