A mix of short stories with a nice mixture of a little of everything. I did not feel the stories were complete and told all leaving the reader guess to the outcome on some of them. There were a few that I really enjoyed but for the most part I found this setup to be lacking and needs more information. There is no doubt that they are chilling stories that will keep your heart pumping with some very weird and strange people. I feel the best part of this is the narrator.
Ms. Reeves really brings this audio to life giving you some very chilling reading. Her character voices are outstanding from the scared to the chilling outcomes. This is the first time I have listened to any of her work and was very impressed with her performance. She really gets you with her voice as she pulls you in leaving you in no doubt to how chilling and scared the characters really are. You can hear the fear and excitement come right through your ears as you are held spellbound. There were a few places in a few of the stories where she repeated a few words in a sentence it does not take away from the story but is very noticeable. There are no background noises or any place where the volume changes. Her natural voice is as pleasant as her character voices. She does an outstanding job with her character voices having no trouble changing from male to female. You always know what each character is feeling and just what they are going through. You can hear the fear, excitement, confusion and humor coming through her voice. She makes this audio without her I would not have enjoyed this. I fear the audio is better than reading it.
