Publisher's Summary

The McCarthys of Gansett Island Series: Book 4

Since he won the Academy Award for best original screenplay a few years ago, Grant McCarthy's personal and professional lives have fallen apart. Abby, the woman he was supposed to marry, is engaged to someone else, and Grant is back at home on Gansett Island helping to run the family marina business while his father recovers from a serious injury. While all Grant's focus should be on winning back the love of his life, pesky Stephanie, who runs the marina restaurant, is working her way under his skin and into his bed. As Tropical Storm Hailey cuts off Gansett Island from the mainland, Grant suspects Stephanie is hiding something big from her past. When he finds out what it is, what will be more important to him? Winning Abby back or helping Stephanie to right a terrible wrong?

Enjoyable story.

I enjoyed this listen as a welcome addition to the Gansett Island series. There is great chemistry between the main characters, Grant and Stephanie, and a strong connection with characters from other books in the series. Unfortunately the narration lacks expression and does little to bring the characters to life. This series would be much more enjoyable with a different narrator.

The series just keeps getting better and the way Marie intertwines all the characters so you continue past stories and get a taste of the next story is amazing!!!

The narrator was monotone and hard to listen to

Would you try another book from Marie Force and/or Holly Fielding?

Yes, I would if the narrator were different. I did not like the quiet and monotone way the narrator read.

Any additional comments?

This was an enjoyable story. I liked the scenes played out by different couples throughout the book. It definitely kept my interest.

Really People!!

Have you listened to any of Holly Fielding’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Holly is a great reader... Yes READER! This series has way to many characters to create individual voices.

This series has good story line and will be read to you nicely.

Another excellent installment!

So glad that Grant and Stephanie are making it work! Love how he is a real man under his stupidity and wants to take care of and be a partner to Steph!

Grant finds the love of his life

What made the experience of listening to Falling for Love the most enjoyable?

Great story and continuation of the McCarthy's family stories.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Stephanie - her story is heart breaking as well as heart warming.

Would you be willing to try another one of Holly Fielding’s performances?

Only with a series. The reader lacks emotion and energy.

They get better every time

This is the first time I've ever written a review....but I had to. The characters in this book are so much fun to get to know. The humor, the twist and turns makes it hard to stop listening. Can hardly wait
to move to the next in the series.

Great Story...Horrible Narration

Where does Falling for Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love the book but the narration is awful

What did you like best about this story?

I love how there are new characters added and also how she keeps up with old ones

Would you be willing to try another one of Holly Fielding’s performances?

No...she narrates like a 5 year old. She always sounds like she has a cold and is talking through her nose. She also needs to learn how to pronounce words...it's mainland, not main land!

If you could take any character from Falling for Love out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Big Mac because he's so awesome
