Publisher's summary

These are the journeys of Miel, the keeper of the journal.

The workings of heaven are shrouded in mystery and myth, leaving us to only theorize as to what awaits us when we pass. There are those among us, however, that are special cases. These are good people who have committed a horrendous crime, such as murder. What makes their cases special, however, is the fact that by committing these egregious acts, one could argue that they have made the world a better place.

A heavenly court of archangels is forced to consider these special cases, holding in their collective hands the fate of the souls that come before them, but only one among them, Rashnu, recognizes that these souls cannot be judged on just the outward details.

Miel, the lowly angel assisting him is tasked with traveling the world to gather the real facts, facts that will hopefully lead to their salvation.

The Miel Chronicles is a collaborative effort created by J.T. Lewis to work with other authors on a special project. Elijah, co-authored with Alexia Purdy, is the second of these stories and can be heard on its own.

Short but, not lacking

What made the experience of listening to Elijah: The Miel Chronicles the most enjoyable?

The narrator for this series is simply amazing. I love her inflection and the life she brings to each story. This one was no different.

What other book might you compare Elijah: The Miel Chronicles to and why?

This is a short story that ties in with the rest of the Reign of Blood series by Alexia Purdy.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene that stands out the most is when Elijah's boss finds him and brings him to the underground city of Vida.

Any additional comments?

While this story is certainly short, it's not lacking. It's a bit different from the others in the series but, not in a bad way. I loved the deeper look into Elijah when the epidemic first hits.

Hit or miss prequel for Elijah

I was expecting more from this short novella actually.
It’s a prequel mainly about Elijah before/first days of the apocalypse.

We also meet the angels in their search for redemption of lost souls.

Hit or miss guys
Take it or leave it.
Audio was good I did like the narrator.

Gifted audio in exchange for an honest review.
2.75 stars I really just think it needed to be longer to give it any sort of significant impact on the series.

Elijah’s back story

I enjoyed learning Elijah’s story. He adds so much dimension to the Reign of Blood series. Meil has her work cut out for her thankfully Elijah is the answer she needs
The narration was just ok for me. I thought she did a great job as Miel but I didn’t enjoy her in male character. Narrators are a personal choice so take that with a grain of salt and it didn’t take away me enjoying the book

A soul redeeming read!

The workings of heaven are shrouded in mystery and myth, leaving us to only theorise as to what awaits us when we pass...

Heartful, soulful and brimming with redemption and forgiveness. This book tells the story of what happens to one's soul in the apocalypse.

Told brilliantly and fantastically in a way that shows remorse and compassion.

Full of ferals, hybrids, zompires, humanity, despair, hope, redemption and adventure.

Perfect for readers of post-apocalyptic novels/paranormal reads.

A lovely listen. I must say, out of all the audiobooks in this series, I enjoyed listening to this the most.

The Niel Chronicles

Miel is tasked with finding the stories that will save the souls that have committed murder or heinous crimes but with good reason, reasons that make the world a better place. But, these people must feel guilty or remorseful. Can Miel find one to save them all?
This was an awesome audio book. It wasn’t long but it was very good. I got the taste now I need more of the story to see what happens. The narrator Anne Marie Susan Silvey does the audio book justice and had me lost in the story.
