Publisher's summary

Olivia is excited for university. She will be on her own in a new place, hopeful to meet new friends.

On the night she moves in, she is taken off the street by two masked men. She is placed in a room that is little more than a cell. A pink cell. A room made for a doll. She is now part of their collection.

gruesome

I almost couldn't get past chapter 4, it was so graphic and awful , but ultimately wanted to know what happened next. The narration was robotic and often distracted from the story. It would make a good horror movie though; I hate horror movies.

Creepy!

Where does Doll House rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's not the best but not the worst. It creeped me out which was the type of book I was looking for.

What did you like best about this story?

The suspense and trying to guess who the bad guy is.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator was pretty bad. He did make voices different for each of the characters but it was pretty monoton. The story itself made up for the bad narration. Plus it helps to speed the book up in the app.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I had to pause the book several times because it was pretty graphic and disturbing.

Any additional comments?

Good book. Worth the credit but expect bad narrator.

Really enjoyed the book and atory. But the narrator was awful! Very monotone and probably the worst I've ever heard.

Chilling

WOW!!! Sent chills down my spine. Not for the faint at heart. I only wish that they used a better narrator.

Riveting Psychological Thriller

This was my first experience with John Hunt's work, and it was fascinating. The story was an absorbing psychological thriller that kept my attention, but some of the described brutality was hard to listen to through the audiobook. I really liked the protagonist, Olivia, as her character was admirable. The tale kept me on the edge-of-my seat wondering what would happen next. Gregory Walston's narration was mediocre. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
