Publisher's summary

Six Giant Assassins. Goliath Was Only the First.

Everyone thinks they know the story of David.

No one has heard it told this way before.

In the days of Samuel, Israel’s worst enemy is the Philistines: bloodthirsty worshippers of Dagon the fish god.

Goliath is but one member of an elite warrior cult of six giants, The Sons of Rapha, whose sole ambition is to kill the promised messiah king of Israel.

As David rises, he must flee the demon-possessed King Saul, avoid assassination, withstand the seduction of a Philistine queen, conquer the last of the giants in Israel, and overcome his own weakness for many wives.

This gritty romantic action-adventure story will take you places in the Bible you’ve never seen before. There is so much more to the story than you ever realized.

The War of the Seed continues.

David Ascendant is the seventh book of the series Chronicles of the Nephilim, a biblical epic story of the fallen angelic Watchers and their offspring, the Nephilim giants of Genesis 6.

Written by respected Christian and best-selling Biblical author, Brian Godawa.

On the age appropriateness of the novels

Exciting Retelling of a Beloved Account

I thoroughly enjoyed the creativity and skill portrayed in this epic novel. It is refreshing to read a Biblical epic backed by so much research.

Amazing Must Read for all

The story's in these books are an amazing read for anyone, but Christian's who want to learn more about the old testament should give these 9 books a read. The author does an amazing job of using a factual Biblical framework and logical storytelling to create an amazing series of books. I do advise you start with book one since the stories and characters build upon itself. Plus it will make the names and name changes much easier to follow. In the audio versions their are parts of the story that are so dramatic that it will get your heart rate up. The stories are so familiar but new in a exciting way. God truly gave the author a gift of storytelling.

David ascendant

i can definitely here things that were not so obvious in biblical texts that I believe took place in the past and are being kept very secretive to this day. ..even by the watchers

the parallels between the book and today's social upheaval.

this book was extremely well written. I highly recommend it. I am looking forward to the rest of Brian's books.if they are as good as the past books I will not be disappointed.

Great Job by Godawa

Brian Godawa does a great job of bringing to life the stories of the Torah. Some of the descriptions are gory, barbaric and lascivious not meant for the young or squeamish. I would give it a five if there was are more PG version but I am great full for Godawa's use of the Torah and other ancient texts such as the book of Jasher and the Zohar. I have followed the whole series and wait for the next one Jehoshua on audio.

Entertainment

I think this series is underrated. It is very well researched and has a solid reference appendix. The narration was top notch and it was only after finishing the audio book that I realized that it was narrated by the author. I wish the world was as fantastical today as historically described in this book. Myths and legends do have some truth as it’s kernel and we see similar deities as part of folklore across disparate parts of the world that had no ways to communication, transmission or intermingling, that does raise some curiosities in the mind of a thoughtful thinker.
