Publisher's Summary

The sequel to the best seller Shelter.

Open Door Church has served as a homeless shelter for more than a decade. When their pastor dies unexpectedly, it's up to Galen and Maggie to take up the reins and keep the ministry going, which won't be easy, as newcomers seem intent on tearing it down. And then there's young Daniel, who seems to be working miracles in their midst, which, of course, isn't possible. Or is it?

    "Faith Like a Child"

A church and a homeless shelter, both of which begin to struggle after the death of their pastor, a selfless man, with no family of his own . . . when Pastor Dan dies, leaving his small congregation and the homeless shelter without his leadership, a group of former "elders" swoop in and install a pastor with a "vision" of his own . . . a wolf in sheep's clothing . . . who has no love or interest in the guests in the shelter or the church, but only in exalting himself . . . in the midst of the the turmoil and angst is little Daniel and his mother, Harmony, who live at the shelter . . . as Daniel senses the need, he prays for people, individually, seeking God's healing touch . . . this enrages the elders, who demand that Daniel be silenced . . . the congregation shrinks . . . and Maggie and Galen who have long served at the Open Door Church become discouraged . . . the new pastor, Chris stays gone, supposedly raising money for the homeless shelter . . . while back home at the shelter, riotous behavior re-emerges with drugs and alcohol showing up at the shelter . . . Galen began the early morning practice of walking and praying over the church and the grounds which Pastor Dan did every day . . . and was joined by young Daniel . . . as all manner of evil invades the church, and I continued to listen to the story, I was filled with apprehension . . . how on earth was this tale going to end? why were these people allowing this to happen? But yet, again I was reminded that His ways are not our ways . . . this is a wonderful book . . . filled with the glory of our Almighty Savior . . . and just as in His word, it is by His Spirit, that all things are made right . . . the conclusion was perfect . . . God still moves . . .

not the best I've heard, the narrator did a good job but sounded like she was talking into a bowl. listened to the shelter by same author & narrator. it's great to hear positive stories with a happy ending
