Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times best-selling author who "writes with high-octane levels of emotion" (USA Today).

Befriending Traci Calloway Cole is the best thing Simone Phillips has ever done. Traci is the kind of woman Simone wants to be - in every way possible. She begins copying her role model. Not because she wants to be Traci. She just wants to be exactly like Traci.

Traci doesn't worry, though. She knows Simone doesn't mean any harm and that her mimicry is only sincere admiration. Until she discovers how far Simone's obsession has gone.

It is then that Simone's entire world begins unraveling, and dreadful secrets from her past are exposed with no warning. Secrets that she'll do almost anything to protect.

SNOOZER... SAVE YOUR MONEY...

What disappointed you about Copycat?

Absolutely NOTHING happens in the book. No suspense, plot twist or turns. The story goes no where. The character do nothing but get in arguments and then leave. This book just has page after page of useless detail about how a lady buys the same material things that another lady has.

What could Kimberla Lawson Roby have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Made a compelling book. That would have been nice. I can't believe that this book made it to print and that it gets any good reviews at all. Totally rushed through and boring.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration was okay.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger! I pre-ordered this book, because I am a loyal fan of Roby's work. But this book is trash and I wish I could get my money back.

Seriously.....

I didn't care for the book. I think it was a great concept but not executed well. I think the book was filled with unnecessary words to meet a word quota. For example..I don't need the details of what happens when you make a purchase at a store. Seriously, I swiped my card, I entered my coupon code, I got a receipt. That is filler. Sometimes I think author get lazy with their writing because they have a fan base. I personally don't appreciate a sloppy book. Also is there a way to write a book without Curtis Black. Geez he has done everything but walk on walk. I'm begging Kimberla to stretch out as an author. Do better some of your fans want more. Thx

Couldn't do it

I had to return this book after listening to just 3 chapters. It might get better but I just couldn't hang in there long enough to find out

Wanted More<br />

It was a little too Redundant for me. The epilogue was great, loved how the lesson of forgiveness was taught.

Unbelievable

I find it a bit far fetched that the main character of the book befriends a woman who just wrote a book about a copycat situation and then begins to copy the same woman. AND the woman doesn't realize that she's being copied? Really?

I enjoyed the reader. The story was nice, although I did not like the ending.

It left much to be desired.

The narrator was great but she didn’t have much to work with. I was think something exciting is about to happen any minute now... page after page nothing exciting happened. I regret buying this book.

Not for me

I have purchased other Kimberla Lawson Roby books and for the most part they were good. This book is not one of them. The characters and story was unbelievable and I kept saying to myself "there has to be more" but it wasn't. I purchased this on sale and I am glad I did because there is no way I would recommend anyone using a credit for this.
