In a decision to disengage from Gaza, the prime minister of Israel comes to the conclusion that there is no solution to the bloody Israeli - Palestinian conflict, except for the evacuation of Judea and Samaria and the establishment of a Palestinian state. When news of that comes, Gabrush, of the senior Yesha Council, feels his world has been destroyed. He knows that if carried out, the plan will end the dream of a Greater Israel and he will have to vacate the house he built himself in Maale Oranim. To thwart the plan Gabrush recruits groups of right-wing extremists, causing whirlpools of secret conspiracies and connections.
Zvika Amit creates masterfully a complex and sophisticated narrative.
