Publisher's Summary

The chosen four are sent on a quest to prove their character, but their mission takes a dramatic turn when they are intercepted, sworn to secrecy, and redirected to a different endgame. Now they must find the seven lost Books of History. Books that have power over the past, present, and future. Books whose words are alive. Books sought by the Dark One that control not only the destiny of their world . . . but that of ours as well.

highly recommend

I wish Thomas Hunters voice had been kinder. More like the original books. But I still highly recommend this book. It would be an excellent choice for family listening and book club discussions.

Seems like an introduction to a series

If you could sum up Chosen in three words, what would they be?

I thought the story was interesting, but it felt like we are being introduced to a world that will be revealed in subsequent books. I'm not sure that it hooked me enough to want to read those books though.

What did you like best about this story?

The author has created an interesting world, culture, and conflict.

What does Adam Verner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He's a very good reader and puts a lot of personality into his characters. Since I could listen to it instead of reading it I went ahead and listened to the whole thing. I'm not sure I would have read the whole book myself.

Too short!

The overall story was interesting and kept me listening. However, at times it felt condensed, like parts were left out in order to shorten the story for audio book.

Great!

I didn't care as much for the voice of Thomas. compared to that used in the Black,-Red-Green-White series, but still a great ride!

I love any book that brings me back to the circle trilogy. God has used the books in my life.

I love the spiritual imagery. I loved it and can't wait to read book 2.

I am a huge fan of the Circle Trilogy books, but these (from the Lost Books series) are poorly thought out, jump around a lot, and have a s

Great Story!!

I enjoyed the story but not the narrator, he is slightly ridiculous. He should not attempt a female's voice.
