Publisher's summary

She's a spoiled shopaholic with daddy issues. He's a socially conscious vegetarian who doesn't hide his disdain for people who come from the trappings of wealth. Of course none of that would have mattered if Chloe could have just left her summer fling with Chase behind her, without a glance back - something that will prove impossible when the consequences of that fling rear their head. Particularly one consequence; one with 10 fingers, 10 toes, and the potential to turn Chloe's privileged life upside down.

But deciding what to do about her unexpected pregnancy is only one of Chloe's problems. When Chase moves in across the hall, pretending that their one night together didn't mean anything will be the hardest thing she's ever had to do. Especially when that night meant more to her than she'd ever want to admit out loud. Chase is determined to make her see that they could be so much more than a mindless fling, and a girl who's used to getting her way will find Chase's determination hard to resist when love is at stake.

A good out of my comfort zone read!

Writing style: Chloe’s POV only
Cover design: I like this cover and how lighthearted the cover models representing Chloe and Chase look in the pose chosen.
Ratings
Overall ★★★☆☆
Performances ★★★☆☆
I was not happy to see Marami Hung, the original narrator from book 1, not return for book 2. Rachel Jacobs took risks and chose very distinctive voices for each character. I didn’t like all of them, but overall, she did a good job.
Story ★★★☆☆
This new adult romance tackled a very serious issue in an informative and relatively non-biased manner. I wasn’t super crazy about a couple of decisions Chloe made, but I liked Chase and his personality enough to balance out my irritation with Chloe. And, I also genuinely enjoyed the ongoing roommates’ camaraderie first introduced in V-Card (Sharing Spaces, #1).

Coming up next:
I binge listened to all 3 standalone novels in audiobook format, so I’ve already read Thin (Sharing Spaces Book 3).

Okay NA

Okay story, although I cannot even try to understand her decision - out of about three possibilities she chose the one I couldn't get. Narration was like slow motion every time something momentous happened. In addition, the male voice was like a purring female stripper in slow motion, which irritated the boots off of me.
