Great Story

What a delightful story. No explicit sex scenes. Beautifully written. Narration was excellent. Though I don’t usually recommend, I’m doing so with this book.

Pretty Good story with fun characters

I enjoyed this as a light read on a hot day. Sweet story about small town folk in South Carolina. the main character is enjoyable, and the secondary characters were fun . The story was predictable but the writing style made it still fun.
I enjoyed the narrator who I thought at first had a genuine southern accent. However, her constant mispronunciation of the town Augusta was extremely irritating. whoever edited this has a major fail.

its A-GUS-ta not AW-gusta. have yall never heard of the Masters Golf tournament? please fix this before the next audio book comes out.
I truly almost stopped listening to this simply because of this constant mistake.

An easy book to listen to

This book was slow at first then started picking up. It was nice to listen to a book without all the sex and cussing. I’m on to the next in the series for some relaxing reading or listening.

Charming story, but…

I almost ditched this book solely over the pronunciation of Augusta. I decided to stick it out, but it remained an annoyance. I find it difficult to believe that there was no one in the room that knew the proper pronunciation of this city when it was spoken by the narrator the first time it appeared in the story. If there was, why wasn’t it corrected? Crazy. Just crazy. To the producer, I would say, “in the future, please review the pronunciation of all proper nouns with the author before beginning to record the narration”.

Cute Story But Annoying Narration

The town is Augusta (uh·guh-stuh) not august tuh. I had a hard time listening because of the repeated incorrect pronunciation!

Delightful!

Southern to it's core. Fun, sweet, heartwarming and a little sad.

The story is skillfully told weaving a bit of mystery and heartache through out a fun low country tale. Fell in love with the well developed characters. (I'm pretty sure I know an Adele too!). The book is very well written as well as wholesome, romantic, cleaver, unique and funny.

Narration perfect!

Highly recommend!

Will make you laugh and cry a little too

This is one of the best books I have listened to in a long time. The book is very funny, and the main character is truly lovable. I’m going to listen to and read the authors other books as well, since I enjoyed this one so much.
