Living in a nation where all life-sustaining systems of support are completely dependent on electricity and computers, the odds for survival are dismal. Municipal water services, retail food distribution, police, fire, EMS, and all emergency services will come to a screeching halt. Big fan

I'm a big fan of all of Goodwin's books. This one is no exception. He has a unique way of weaving a faith-based story with a plausible and intriguing reality.

GREAT BOOK... HEAVY RELIGOUS COMPONENT. BUT GREAT!

THIS BOOK STARTS OUT VERY SLOW, HAS SORT OF A RUNNING SERMON THROUGHOUT THE STORY. THAT SAID IT IS WELL WRITTEN AND IF YOU CONSIDER THE AUTHOR PROBABLY WANTED US HEATHEN'S TO GET A MESSAGE.... WELL IT WORKED... THE STORY IS VERY GOOD AND OF COURSE WHEN KEVIN PIERCE NARRATES ANYTHING IT MAKES IT BETTER... IF YOUR LOOKING FOR BRADLEY'S SURVIVALIST SERIES AND CHARACTERS LIKE MASON REESE FROM THAT BOOK.... KEEP LOOKING.. IF YOU CAN PUT UP WITH A HEAVY RELIGOUS UNDERTONE TO LISTEN TO A DARN FINE STORY BUY THIS BOOK...

Too Much Preaching

Should have been good but there is too much preaching in the beginning. Couldn't get any further. Narration seemed Juvenile.

Very religious

Too preachy for my taste. Unless you are ready for an 8 hour sermon, I would recommend passing this up.

Another Great Book from Mark Goodwin

Great book. All the books from Mark Goodwin are entertaining, educational, uplifting and inspirational. It is such a pleasure to have a wholesome story that edifies God, Faith and Family.

This is the first of a series and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I have the complete set of the previous two series from Mark, The Economic Collapse Chronicles and Days of Noah. Both have been great series.

I am a fan of this genre and have read books from most of the major authors. Marks book are a good as any of them (better than most) but without the heavy handed use of language and excessive violence that you fine in some of them.

Mark does a great job of creating characters, environments and story lines that are developed, relative and relatable.

These are books that are safe for younger readers to read and learn from. A great vehicle for family discussions on Faith, God, Prepping and Personal responsibility.

The narrator, Kevin Pierce, is great as usual. He is the standard for the stories in the genre and for good reason.

Great book and a great story.

I hope the narator is under contract to do all the books in the series . His voice really went with the dialogue and the characters in the story. I also liked the fact that every detail of the firearms were center story. Too many books describe to much every time a weapon comes into play in the story. Say it was a shotgun and move on. I plan on recommending this book to others.

God damn sermon! I want my f!#& money back.

no where in the description did it say it was for bible toters. to each his own, but be upfront about what you are selling. this clown is sighting scripture constantly. i held out till chapter 4 to see if he would stop preaching and get on with it, but hell no, just kept on spewing. I'm pissed and want a refund.
