Publisher's summary

When Regina Burns married Blue Hamilton, she knew he was no ordinary man. Regina enjoyed a circle of engaging friends and her own work as communications consultant, but she especially relished the company of her husband, who never ceased to be a source of passion and delight.

Then everything changes. Frightened women show up in West End, seeking Blue's protection from lovers who have suddenly become violent. When the worst offenders begin to disappear, the speculation seems to implicate Blue and his long-time associates. Now that Regina is pregnant, her fears for Blue's safety have become an obsession that threatens the heart of their relationship.

Returning to the Atlanta neighborhoods of her last two novels, Pearl Cleage has crafted a warm, witty novel that illuminates the core of every woman's hopes and dreams.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Ms. Pearl has done it again! What a great book I didn't quite get Blue and Abby's multiple lives but otherwise the story is great,

Interesting, but a bit disjointed

Really enjoyed the 2nd title in the series, especially her reading of the work. This one started out leaving me confused and feeling a bit disjointed with the various characters and how they intersected. There was one "fact about Blue and his life (lives-no spoiler) that threw me... maybe in was in/from the first title. Il hung in there and eventually, prior characters and everyone's intersection came together. Took a turn near the end I did not see from the beginning (always a good thing) but still well done and tied in; now I feel as if there should be a West End series #4 to tie it all up for closure.

Pearls reading of this one was a bit breathier that the other title but still well done. Looking forward to some of her other work

Good cast of characters.

Over all a good novel. The character baby brother was unexpected and the ending was as well.
