Enjoyable Read

Loved it! Thought is was great that the adulterous husband did not get part owner of the quilt shop. Was happy that Bonnie and Clair made up and remained friends.

Nice history of Hawaiin quilts too

I'll keep saying it. I love these stories. They are not heavy reading (listening?) by any means and that's why I love them. This one made me want to make a quilt in the Hawaiin way. Will I? Doesn't matter. Nice listen.
Kudos to the reader too. I know which character she is now from book to book. Very cool.

Another great book by Jennifer Chiaverini

It had been a while since I had listened to a Jennifer Chiaverini book and I had forgotten how much I enjoy them! This was another great story and each of the characters came back to my memory as soon as their names where mentioned. I love how the story developed and couldn't turn in off! Lots of history about Hawaii woven into the book that I had never known about before as well as an entertaining story line. As for the comments about how the Hawaiian words were not pronounced correctly - it wasn't a problem for me, since I have never been there and would have no idea how they should be pronounced! I loved this book - keep up the good work, Jennifer!

Learn how to make a Hawaiian style quilt

Would you consider the audio edition of Aloha Quilt to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version.

What about Christina Moore’s performance did you like?

Christina does an excellent job of bringing the story to life with distinct character voices.

Any additional comments?

This is one of my favorite Elm Creek Quilt books. I have read all of them so far and this one teaches you how to make a true Hawaiian style quilt while weaving a real life story of dealing with personal challenges and making decisions that make life more fullfilling!

perhaps my favorite Elm Creek quilt book

I have now read all but one of the Elm Creek quilt series, and I keep coming back to this one. In the middle of a painful divorce, Bonnie Markham is thrown a lifeline by an old friend who offers her the opportunity to spend some quality time in Hawaii, recovering from the emotional, drain, and discovering who she is, now that her life, as a married woman is over. The backdrop, the continuing theme of friendship and quilting, and just the right touch of drama for spice. Make this a book I want to listen to over and over again.

Aloha Quilt took me on a mental vacation

This might be one of my favorite books in the Elm Creek series. I listen while I drive. It relaxes me and prevents road rage. LOL
When she was describing Zip Lining over the Hawaiian landscape I found myself on a tall bridge and getting nervous. My mind was in the story. And now I have a desire to make a Hawaiian style quilt. And I hope to visit one day. I really enjoyed this book.
