Publisher's summary

They're back like they never left! Rashard is slacking heavily in every department you can name while trying to balance his empire, his family and his women. With graduation so close you can see the stage, one is unsure if Rashard will be in attendance. Armani has it bad as she's tortured daily by a person that hides their identity under a mask and baggy clothing. Right when it's too much to bear, a panic attack sets her free.

With revenge on the mind, Armani teams up with someone with hopes of killing Tamia. In the world of Tamia, everything's going right, well until it starts going wrong. When it rains, it pours they say and boy is it raining on Tamia! She feels like the entire world is against her and she just wants it all to be over. After being completely heartbroken by Ray with the help of Tamia, Michelle experiences a presence from the past. Together they set plans in motion to kill them both. Will Rashard get it together or is it already too late for him? Will Armani get her revenge or will she realize Tamia was the realest person she had in her corner? Will everything work out for Tamia as it should or will all the people that are coming together defeat her? Will Michelle kill Rashard and Tamia or die trying?

no improvement

Repetitive, slow, sophomoric with a large dose of colorism

I listened to his book on audible. It was hard to complete. I like a good urban read so I try different authors.

I listened to his book on audible. It was hard to complete. I like a good urban read so I try different authors.
I feel like those who gave a 3star or better rating read a different version of the book than I consumed. The author is talented, but I think I’ll try a different book and leave this series alone.
This book had me wishing I wasn't one of those people that need to see how a book ends. This was a painful listen, because of the following:
• Repetitiveness- the author’s pension for devoting multiple unecessary chapters so that each character involved can tell you what they were thinking and felt for the scenes aided in the slow pace and mindless detail given.
• Boasting - the author boasted about color so much that it overshadowed the story. The characters all seemed to hate themselves. It also felt as if the writer may have unresolved issues surrounding skin tone. The characters boasted about material things that did not seem as “boss” as I’m sure they were meant to convey. Rashard was supposed to be a college student who was a skilled “boss” in the game, but it was not told in a way that was believable.
• Contradicting statements- example rashard states dark skin women give nothing but attitude just like tamia is giving him when they first met and in the next sentence he states she's not giving him attitude so he'll give her a pass...
• No character development or plot structure
• Sophomoric writing
• Horrible narration (especially the singing even singing a gospel song didn’t make it any better (sorry) mispronunciation of words i.e. carte blanche)
Production-the narrator would speak a sentence and then repeat it once, twice or three times until it was the way she wanted
• Drama for the sake of drama no rhyme or reason; no logic which also made the characters come across as bi-polar every last one of them.mple rashard states dark skin women give nothing but attitude just like tamia is giving him when they first met and in the next sentence he states she's not giving him attitude so he'll give her a pass...

Refund

I did not like ANYTHING about this book or the first one. This author is all over the place and the storyline does not go with the title. It should be called Ghetto Psychos. I would not recommend. The narrator would be okay IF SHE WOULD STOP TRYING TO SING IN EVERY BOOK.Horrible.
