Publisher's Summary

Molly has moved from London to Herefordshire chasing 'The Good Life.' She is living the country dream, apart from it isn't really her dream. It is her husband David's. And David is, well, rather dead now. When she's left an inheritance of a London townhouse, Molly dares to consider chucking it all in. But there's a problem. A tall, handsome problem. There is already a man living in Molly's new house. And when a face appears from her past, Molly is more confused than ever.

Not as good as her earlier books.

Any additional comments?

Don't think the narrator isn't a good fit for this kind of book. Too slow and without any spark. I'm missing Suzy Aitchison who narrated Alliott's earlier books.

Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. !!

I waited for her book to come out and this is her best. It made me laugh out loud while I listened driving my car. I even woke up at night and listened a bit more.
I have zero concentration these days but this gripped me and I loved it!!

A nice story

I thought the narrator- although very good - seemed too old to be a believable voice for the main character.
Good story though.

Loved every minute of it.

Loved every minute of it, couldn't wait to get an opportunity to listen to it. Perfectly, typically Catherine Alliot.

wanted to shake the main character

the story was nice but my god was the main character self obsessed...just wanted to shake her
also really bad audio editing. bits skipping, long pauses and some bits read faster than others like it had been sped up. quite unusual for audible books

Disappointing

I started and stopped listening to this book so many times, and at the end wished I'd given up earlier!
It is so predictable.Which is why I gave it so many chances, hoping I was wrong..
Added to this, the narrator's voice is far too old to make the character she portrays believable.

Wrong narrator

The voice of the person narrating was too old to be Molly- sounded as though they were about 70 years old and this did not fit the character

expected a little more

started off very promising but died a little. I expected more. The story was a little disjointed in parts. Not a bad read and I'd defiantly try another from this author.

Well written but storyline disappointing.

What did you like best about About Last Night...? What did you like least?

The style was good but the storyline and narration were rather staid.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Helen Lloyd?

Probably not, unless by an author I did not want to miss.

Could you see About Last Night... being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

No
