an idea of holiness and righteousness

this is not a book to listen in the background. an idea of holiness and righteousness that's beyond self entirely and only able to be comprehended if you can see past your own self

Wow.

This book is beautiful. It has instantly become one of my favorites. It has helped reveal the nature of my heart and, God willing, pointed it back toward Him.

Great read

It was a great reminder of how easy it is to get bitter and become someone the Lord never intended us to become. I repeat this book over and over.

great book

best book I've ever read or listened to on waiting on God and his timing instead of seeking what you think you deserve.

Some good thoughts but incomplete

The interesting ideas are about how how God works in the world with imperfect people and also with Saul-like people. It explores the implications of this fact and how it is difficult to differentiate between the two types, (middle part of the book). These interesting thoughts are surrounded by whimsy and speculation (but it is a tale).

The David v Absalom talks about how David fled, but totally ignores the fact that David raises an army and fought Absalom. Book explored complex ideas about Gods will with man and explores some knots, but skips the parts where men act. Makes you think yes, but somewhat unsatisfying.

Narrator is good.

Great confirmation

Highly recommend to those struggling with knowing if you shall be in a place of worship . Having respect and submission to the man of God , He has put us under. Feeling like king David when he was under Saul but still respected his authority. such a good book to help you unwind and heal.

EXCELLENT WORK OF ART

This is my second time visiting this book (the first read, the second listened) and each time it has stirred my heart to contemplation. A thought provoking, heart searching masterpiece. Highly recommend for anyone in ministry

Stop dividing and judging the brothers

The church needs this now more than ever.Let Holy Spirit deal with your heart . Isn’t easy to think who needs this but I’m sure it’s for me.

An Annual Journey

This is one of those books that probably should be read/listened to on an annual basis or even a couple of times a year. Great voice reading, matches the theme of the book. I dare say there is another book that challenges the pride and ambition of leadership like this one.
