In Ethel McMilin's A Cheechako's View of Alaska, she details Beth's struggles and the rewards of living in Alaska, where moose and bears roam freely, and the weather can dip to 50 below. Beth doesn't always follow her husband's advice and often learns her lessons the hard way.
As lovers of Alaska stories, we had hoped to be entertained by this book. Unfortunately, it is poorly written and a thinly veiled missionary tract. It was very disappointing.
