Publisher's summary

Defeat supervillains, develop a harem, and save the universe.

It’s all in a day’s work for Quincy Fletcher, a down-on-his luck security guard whose life is turned upside down after he accidentally kills one of the galaxy’s worst bad guys.

Confronted by a mysterious woman named Aurora, Quincy learns that he’s now a marked man. Going on the run to escape the associates of the villain he killed, he accompanies Aurora to Fiasco Heights, a sexy, dangerous city on a parallel world dominated by the good, the bad, and the pleasure-seeking.

Once there, Quincy’s recruited into an underground team called “The Shadow Catchers”, a group of superheroes who’ve dedicated their lives to saving the city. Quincy soon discovers that he possesses superhuman abilities, which he’ll need as he battles supervillains, dragons, synthetic warriors, and the Harbinger, Fiasco Height’s most dangerous bad guy, who’s hell-bent on destroying the universe.

Warning: This is a cinematic harem audiobook that shares much in common with a comic book or graphic novel. Do not buy this audiobook if you like the fade-to-black style or if the idea of listening to a thrilling story bulging with frenetic high-action, heroes, villains, hot superheroines, explosions, and a harem of lovely ladies turns you off. For everyone else - yes, this means you - what are you waiting for? Get the audiobook and enjoy!

Even a good narrator can't fix terrible writing

Even a good narrator cannot fix terrible writing. Chris Graves is unquestionably the best thing this book has going for it. He is truly a talented narrator, which he demonstrates profoundly in this book, as he is the only reason I could finish it. Fiasco Heights suffers from many things from bland and indistinct characters to very little in the way of story. I know that this book never claimed to be anything other than a fun romp through a fantasy world with a harem, but the writing was simply too poor for it to be enjoyable. For example, Zack Archer tied to used phrases like: “and then it happen” about every other page as a way to increase suspense, which I found exceedingly annoying. Overall, I will not be reading any other books by Zack Archer, however I will be keeping my eyes open for more books narrated by Chris Graves. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Nothing special other then it's not a harem

Minor Spoilers,

Honestly kind of disappointed that he hooked up with everyone but the one he actually had feeling for. The MC follows the same theme of most in this genre. He kind of is an a** that lacks knowledge without ever really trying to learn. The possibility of a harem was there if the series continued. However that is not the case so it's just a horny MC thinking with the head inbetween his legs instead of the one on his neck. The book in a nutshell is him not listening to those with experience. Him getting in trouble or getting the group in trouble by not listening. Then the group bailing him out so he can repeat the same mistakes.

Not for everybody

2 things to start 1) the narrator is great 2)It does have explicit content.
This book did action scenes really well and developed an interesting world. Some of the characters were a bit too idiotic for my preference. It got better as it progressed into the second book but this is definitely mainly for fans of harem novels which I personally enjoy if done well. Overall it's passable and something to listen to if you are running slim on choices in the harem genre.

Such a dope story!

First off, let me just say how thankful I am that both books were in this. I would’ve lost my mind, up in here, up in here, if I had to wait.

This story was not only epic, but also because of Chris Graves’ narration, it was captivating and relatable!

I try to avoid any spoilers in all my reviews, so let me just end with this... you need to listen, like ASAP!

great with the right expectations

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book definitely has adult situations, so I would not recommend this for anyone falling in the minor or easily offended categories. The narration is done pretty well. That being said, if you manage your expectations going in, this is a very fun and entertaining book.

Almost continuous action

Once it gets started, it seldom stops. Then again, it's about superheroes. The voices were good - one would almost think it was a whole ensemble doing the narration.
