Maple Lake’s Fall Festival is supposed to be about hot apple cider and pumpkin contests; not a dead body.

The crisp autumn air settles over Molly's charming B&B as tourists arrive for the fun.

But when a stranger is found dead behind a festival tent, the town is thrown into chaos.

Molly, with her clue-sniffing chihuahua, Mitz, her BFF Lila, and handsome handyman Jake dig into the lives of potential suspects.

The local pet store owner, the security guard, and the event organizer are all on the list.

As secrets unravel, the team discovers a dark and crooked past of one of the towns own.

Molly must solve the mystery quickly before the secret buries the reputation of Maple Lake; along with her.

the story itself has a lot of repetitive words/sentences. and the last chapters seem out of order or repetitive just with different words. If it was edited it would be a great cozy mystery.

This is an easy read or listen. Very cute story and likeable characters. The town seems so sweet and fun.

I wanted a good fall read. I also like a mystery, so I took a chance. The story was pretty short. I was kind of glad because I don't find virtual voices very pleasing. Overall it kept my attention but didn't leave me wanting more.

Overall just ok.
