Publisher's Summary

September, 1975: Shawn meets Dawn, his one true love, when she moves into the vacant house next door. Many people spend their life searching in vain for happiness, but he was lucky; finding it at the age of 15. February, 1979: Forbidden to see each other and feeling he is harming her by being in her life, he walks away from the love of his life, apparently forever. December, 2006: After decades of sadness and mourning the girl that got away, he has a chance meeting with her that might change his life forever...again. Can the sweet bond of first love not only survive, but flourish?

Feels Like the First Time lets you share in the magic of young love in small town America in the 1970s. No matter how much the world changes, some things - timeless music, high school dances, making out in the backseat of a Chevy Vega, and of course true love - will always remain the same.

Great story-

Loved the story but the narrative was annoying because he ever seemed to get out of the "infomercial" type speaking. Even in the tender moments I kept expecting him to say "but, wait, there's more". I wanted to hear the story so I put up with his annoying narration.

Makes you believe in second chances for first love

Would you consider the audio edition of Feels Like the First Time to be better than the print version?

No. The audio editing was sloppy in places, resulting in phrases being repeated at several points and, once, the narrator stops reading and clears his throat before continuing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Shawn, of course. And Jeff...i want to hang out with Jeff

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Mostly, he was decent. But the narration was one dimensional and , when he did seem to try emphasizing the emotion of the story, it came out all wrong.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

First Love's Second Chance

Any additional comments?

I will forever wish Shawn and Dawn the very best in life. They certainly waited long enough to find it!

Terrible Narration

The story has such potential, but that narrator is awful. Sorry dude.....I'm hoping this is your first narration and you improve. A LOT. There are spots where your voice gets choked up, and I thought it was part of the story, but nope....all of a sudden you cleared your throat and started the sentence over. There are spots where you simply repeat a line, like you forgot you just read it. It's very monotone and you sound like a computerized voice. I got wrapped up in the story, so I continued until the end, but Mr. Inmon, I hope you find another narrator to read this book and re-release it.

great story but terrible narrition

this is a great story told well but it is hard to listen to for the narration is terrible.I love the way Shawn makes the protagonist come alive. if this story doesn't make you remember and long for your first love you may need to see a doctor and have a pace maker implanted

A Sad Love Story

It was a good book. I struggled with it. It took me 3 different times to finish it. The story was Great, it was just long and drawn out. Very sad in certain parts. It reminded me of a past relationship minus the happy ending. It wasn't good for me. You may really enjoy it though.

Amazing Story

I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but I’m so glad to have heard a happily ever after story! Yes, the narrator sounded like Casey Kasem announcing the top hits of the week and there were a few repeated lines. However, I enjoyed it. It made me cry and laugh too. I appreciated the dry humor sprinkled the story. So glad I listened!!

Worst narration ever

The story is ok but the book is ruined by the worst narration I’ve heard. There is no punctuation or inflection in the voice of the story teller. There are no defined chapters and the editing is terrible. Many times sentences are repeated and at one point there is silence and then a cough when this should have been edited out.
