Humanity is under attack! There’s a mysterious and violent enemy that has appeared in New York City in the middle of a busy work day. These horrifying creatures appear seemingly out of nowhere to devour people in broad daylight. There is no escape from them, and there is no way to fight back.

After several attacks, people soon discover what is driving these monsters to attack, but will the human race be able to do what they need to do in order to fight back?

This novelette looks at the darker side of human nature with biting satire, contemplating whether humanity could survive if something so precious to its very core is what it must surrender.
