What does it mean to be human?

Dragons and Skylines is a thrilling and contemplative trilogy, perfect for older fans of Wings of Fire and Seraphina.

After her parents go missing, Grith, a young dragon used to a simple life of hunting and reading, is forced to take a job at a magical tech company in the middle of LA. Yet, hiding her nature is all but impossible: once taking a human shape is no longer an option, Grith must confront her dragon instincts, and finds that the job she's accepted is far more dangerous than anything she could have imagined. The fate of the city depends on whether Grith decides to stand with humans — or apart from them.

The story was nice, though there were some points that seemed off, such as a character making whiplash decisions that contradict paragraphs worth of set up. Those are few and far in between, but the narrator had a less than stellar performance, especially with voicing certain characters. Their narration is distracting to the listener often enough to be noticeable.

Fun story, but poor narration.

Not your typical trash dragon shifter, but a good to honest dragon pov book. A great start of the series.

Narration is clear and precise. Rarely I get confuse with the characters' voice.

Hopefully the rest of the audiobook production goes smoothly. Looking forward to the the rest of it.

One of the better dragon pov audiobooks

Very very interesting concept, a world where dragons and other magic creatures have to hide from humanity. Only thing wrong is how flat the characters are. The only character I really felt anything for was the poor bastard who got pulled into babysitting the main character. The dragon is not the worst but is really lacking. She acts genuinely autistic, doesn't like people touching her, gets violent when someone slaps her ass while she's a human, doesn't like loud noises, singleminded on a task she feels important and at the same time gets distracted when the subject of her 'tism is brought up. The author also tries to do character development, but it has literally no set up before hand. "I don't want to hurt these book creatures because I love books," "Maybe humans are as smart as dragons and I should feel bad about wanting to eat them." Just a lot of surface deep stuff. Of course the big evil corperation is evil and doing experiments on captured fae folk, of course they don't care about a guy slapping a female coworker on the ass, of course the LAPD shoot a woman with a twig in her hand. Ashley is an awful character and acrively wants the dragon to eat or get rid of Charles. Charles is the only voice of reason and its written so that he isn't suppose to be. It got super awful around chapter 13.

Flat world and characters.
