I returned this audiobook because it didn’t come with a PDF. In today’s busy world, many of us use Audible to listen to books while multitasking. However, for a cookbook, a companion PDF is essential. No one has time to stop, rewind, and write down every recipe, especially when the narration moves so quickly.
I’m still an avid reader and love having a physical book in hand, but I also appreciate the convenience of listening. Unfortunately, this audiobook didn’t balance those needs.
Additionally, the book frequently mentions pre-made ingredients — for example, it says “1 cup of hummus” without explaining how to make the hummus. For recipes that feature fish, it would’ve been helpful if the author explained the difference between fresh vs. frozen and wild-caught vs. farm-raised salmon.
Every book falls somewhere between great, good, so-so, and “are you kidding me?!” — and sadly, this one landed in the last category for me. Not worth more than one star.
