Publisher's Summary

“I want a divorce.”
No woman wants to say those words. No woman who is still in love with her husband anyway.

Our marriage has been tested, repeatedly.
It’s been dragged through tabloids and rumors and fans that just won’t let us be.
Through it all, we’ve remained unbreakable.

We didn’t have the perfect marriage because perfection doesn’t exist.
But we had love. We had trust. We had chemistry that to this day sets everything inside me on fire.

Then one life-threatening statement creates a chain of lies that leaves me no choice but to say those horrible words.

I never thought I’d say them.

I never thought my husband would ignore me when I did.

I never thought the man I love would sever the vows we took.

I never thought I’d pack my bags and move from our home in LA to our getaway cottage in Hermosa Beach.

Then again, I never thought he'd choose the fate of his life over his fate with me.

Sometimes you need to just let it go

This book was just sad, when I first started listening I felt Eva was right. "Cheating" can be preformed in many different levels. But it comes a time that you either need to let it go and forgive or walk away. To me she became a dog with bone that she didn't want to let go. She acted like he continuously made mistakes and screw up in there marriage. This was the first major issue in all their years of marriage. Most marriages should be so lucky. And she can't forgive.. and this Natalie thing OMG really. She got the shift in this whole book. Especially in the end., truly sad. Then when I thought Eva couldn't get any worst...she did. I found myself switching sides. If I were Mason I simply would have let her go and work the the pain of the marriage ending so he could start over. Instead he allowed Eva to drive him to almost commit suicide, just to get him to admitted he was in "denial. " This whole thing was truly sad. And after all the hell she put him through he took her back. After she has this epiphanie. All I can say is with a mother like that....poor baby. I try to finish anything I start and normally its not a hardship because the ending is worth it but with this book not so much.

Fateful Fighter

Heartbreakingly beautiful! This is a poignant roller coaster ride to go on. Relationships are built on trust, and when that trust is broken can the relationship survive? We always get to an end of a story believing in a happily ever after. This was not a fairytale, it’s more realistic and relatable, about a couple fighting to either repair their marriage or let go. This story was enlightening. I absolutely loved everything about this book.
Teddy Hamilton is perfection! Love listening to him.

Freaking amazing

Wow. What an amazing rollercoaster of a ride. Loved the twists and turns in this story. Mason is one stubborn strong man. Eden is one amazing strong woman. They have an awesome chemistry. Could not wait to see what they would do next. There connection and love knows no boundaries. They complete each other. In ways everyone should hope to find with there significant other. A must read.

I can’t

I really wanted to like this book. It was promising when I first started reading but halfway in I couldn’t continue.
The female lead represents so many things I dislike about some women. Overly dramatic, playing the victim card, jumping to conclusions, being whiney etc.
The way she reacts to finding out her husband wants to fight again is absolutely ridiculous. A lot of her feelings are valid and at the heart of it she’s correct but she’s goes down a downward emotional spiral questioning her whole entire marriage and questioning her husband’s fidelity with absolutely no reason to. Simply because he spoke to his agent about his feelings instead of her. She is his agent! Of course he’d talk to her.
The way they vilify the agent is also stupid. She didn’t do anything except her job. Yes she was wrong to encourage him to do something that wasn’t safe but but Eden treated her way worse than was warranted.
The inner dialogue of Eden is also way too wordy. The author needs help writing or at least a better editor. I had to skip ahead at times just to move the story along.
I would not recommend this book at all. I did however really like the performance of the narrators. They did a great job.

omg. enough already lady!

I can't listen anymore. This mc needs to check herself. Her rant just goes on and on. what is she mad about? Her husband WANTS to come out of retirement from fighting and didn't tell her. Honestly? After hearing her off-the-deep-end response, I wouldn't have wanted to tell her either. I can't listen to her rant any more. She doesn't even give him a chance to talk.

Such a great story

After being in a book funk this was what I needed. The premise was great. The narration was really good. I felt it was a little too wordy sometimes, but all in all a really good book.

Meh

I have enjoyed the books in Hero Club, but this one made my brain hurt. The story would have been so much better if both characters wouldn't have been so whinny. We get it. He talked to someone other than you about his career.

I'm in love with their story

I read the book. I absolutely loved it. I laughed. I cried. I had to fan myself and keep from squirmy in the sexy moments. I am in love with their story. THEN...I saw it was released in audiobook. Biting my knuckles, I couldn't not listen to it. I am drawn to their story, their live, their pain. Kathy Coopmans gave us a story that shows so much hope, so much love. This hopeless romantic had no choice, I needed more.

I'm going to fangirl now.
Teddy Hamilton is a total audiobook narrator babe. He gives good aural! I always get excited for his work. He's got an incredible voice and he's not afraid to get into the story. (blows kisses)
Desiree Ketchum did a great job. I'm new to her fan club. She did a great job bringing Eden to life. I look forward to more of her work.

**I reviewed the novel and unleashed all the feels in that review. If you are curious it's on Amazon, Goodreads, and Bookbub.
