Publisher's Summary

We are at war.

The Dawning Pack has a generations old rivalry that is finally rearing its wolf’s head to bite us. My family gone, my pack reduced to a brave few — and all when my need to mate is at its height.

We need to build up our numbers, and I need to find my mate. But will I be able to find my fated omega when we are under attack? Even if we are drawn together, will he stay by my side in this uncertain time?

All I know is if I find my mate — my omega — I will do anything to keep him and my pup safe.

Not bad but Not Good Either. Spoilers!

The narration was good. It made finishing the book doable. I wasn't impressed by this book. It's not bad, but it wasn't good for me . The shifter mythos created in the book was lacking in my opinion. I also was not a fan of Ricky. He knew there was a war, but then wants Jesse to abandon his pack initially to a war instigated by Jesse's family and the Bone Tribe leading family ( in theory). Furthermore, if Jesse just wanted to have a mate then y not just disband at the beginning and find a mate. Seems a crappy thing to do, spouting all this stuff about surviving and not disbanding just to a few chapters later after bringing in more ppl to your cause to be like you what nevermind. Also how does he go from near death to marathon sex with a bullet in his chest especially when it's explained he didn't have his powers at his disposal. Anyways again not bad but not good either.

Let Down Ending

I felt the story had a good base. C. Alan Kelly really delivered a good performance in the dialogue. However, the story gets emotions up and gets you angry and then I feel gives a really disappointing ending. Yes it's a good message to let peace prevail but after the gruesome way the alpha of the enemy pack had one of their pack members' killed I really wanted a really satisfying revenge kill, especially with the cocky way the enemy alpha reacted. She didn't even appreciate the truce offered.

Enjoyable Story, With Gratifying Narration.

This is the 3rd book I've listened to. I enjoyed them all. The narration was very good along with the story. The only little complaint I have is that I needed a longer and more of a ending. There were a few things that weren't answered. Even so, I do recommend you listen to this story. You will enjoy it. I did.
