Good plot

I didn’t feel the relationship with the main characters. It seemed flat. The narrator didn’t help. Maybe a different narrator would have made a difference.

Loved it!

I love the Kinsmen world and this story did not disappoint.

One of my favorite things about Ilona Andrews’ books are the fight scenes, and of course, they were beautifully choreographed in this book.

I’ll hope for future stories in the Kinsmen Universe, but I can say without a doubt that I’ll read/listen to anything released by House Andrews.

I also enjoyed very much Aaron Shedlock’s narration.

Highly recommended audiobook!

Another great book by Ilona Andrews.

This book was a great listen and entertaining. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer.

Short but Fun with a love in the middle of the action. Loved the readers voice!

Stellar.

What an interesting world the Ilona Andrews duo created in the Kinsmen series. Impossible for me to explain without spoilers. Like Earth, consequences for bad behavior can be deadly. Sharp, intelligent story, full of biomedical technology, and betrayal has repercussions.

good quick read

It has betrayal, secrets and enemies to lovers. What else could you want? A bit of futuristic science fiction....well it's got that too.

another grand adventure

I am a longtime member of the BDH, so my view of this audiobook is colored by my obsession with House Andrew's every word - including blog snippets, cover reveals, and having read the book on the day of release. While you can definitely enjoy this as a standalone, it's better if you've read the other books in this universe. My only note of displeasure was the pace of narration, but I set it at 95% and then was perfectly content.

Fabulous, sci fi, Romeo-and-Juliet romance

On the planet Rada, Ramona Adler and Matais Baenas are members of two different clans which have been enemies for generations. In the ordinary course of events, Ramona and Matias would have continued the rest of their lives as they have up until now, doing their best to entirely ignore each other. But extraordinary circumstances have forced them to work as a team to hunt down their spouses, who have not merely cheated on Ramona and Matais, they have also betrayed the entire Adler and Baenas families by stealing vital, secret data. If their spouses are not tracked down and the data recovered, the loss will destroy the fortunes of both clans. Even worse, if sold to murderous, interplanetary villains, the stolen data could lead to the creation of weapons so powerful, the entire planet of Rada would be in danger of annihilation.

I own every novel ever written by the Ilona Andrews writing team, and I am a huge fan. So much so that, even though I normally never read science fiction by anyone else, I absolutely love this newest addition to their sci fi Kinsman series. Mainly because IA has always been brilliant at writing paranormal romance, and this novel is no exception. I adore Ramona and Matais individually, both their honorable and determined personalities and their incredible fighting abilities. I absolutely believe these two are soul mates, and the fascinating way their superpowers blend and complement each other in the midst of heart-pounding action scenes is thrilling.

The setting of the planet Rada is also extremely vivid, both its natural beauty as well as the amazing use of technology blended with the “weird science” type of magic that Ramona, Matais and various other characters have as “enhanced abilities.”

I experienced this novella in both eBook and audiobook format. The audiobook narrator, Aaron Shedlock, does a terrific job with male and female characters of all ages, as well as dramatically acting out all the parts.

Another exciting adventure

Why go to the movies and watch a movie about a romance author having a romantic adventure when you get to have the adventure yourself when you read yourself into a romantic adventure as the heroine each time you read the story.

I love the way our authors take an all to common situation and place it in a alternate world thus changing the ways in which individuals reactions. The world building in the entire series is excellent as well as the character development. I especially love the twist and turns of the plot.
