The Vampyre in question would be me. I’m so damned confused by the modern world, and getting electrocuted for being misogynistic—whatever that means—is getting old.

It’s insanity. Apparently, there’s a species called Karens running in the wild. The Tube of You and the Book of the Faces are alarming. From what I understand, the Karens gather there. I much prefer homing pigeons to the small rectangular metal box the undead of today seem to favor. Although, I am enamored with the horseless metal chariots.

The good old days of skin peeling and ripping out entrails are over. So be it. I’ll fit in. Getting set aflame sucks.

Plus, there’s a beautiful blonde who’s in my every waking thought. She might not know it yet, but we’re destined to be. Although, every time I cop a feel, I get my nards kneed up into my esophagus. My wooing skills might be a little rusty....

Armed with the magic word, please, and the challenge of using my words instead of my sword, I shall succeed.

I am a big fan of this series and the author. I can’t wait for Samuel book that one I can’t wait for it. I think it’s gonna be awesome.

This story was just what I needed. I laughed audibly while listening. It’s a nice story about acceptance and redemption that never gets preachy. Very enjoyable read!

things get crazy while on the hunt for a sacred, very male-shaped and very self-aware, clock. there were times, as in every single Hot Damned book, that i laughed like a loon while tears rolled down my face and i couldn’t breathe 😂

Fantastic

I listened to all the books in this series one eight after the other. I was not disappointed.

The broken fix the broken

After a life time of being bad Astrid’s sister is on a quest for forgiveness and making amends. Mother Nature sets her up on a quest to find the sacred clock all the while giving the mannerless murderous warrior a very similar one…. This violently adorable love story will have you giggling up a storm over misconstrued moments and swooning over the sweetest moments. After being the villain in soooo many stories it’s nice to see her catching a break! This dual narration was fabulously done. The quirkiness and complete insanity of these characters were portrayed beautifully!!!!!

Omg, this book is just hilarious!! Second chances, love, redemption and Karen’s!
I’m still laughing at all of the shenanigans that happened. The narrators, Jessica Almasy and David Beenin were great. Their “please” and “thank you” and Karen’s scenes were just amazing and laughable. I absolutely loved it!!
This is just what I needed to listen to get me out of the dark, so thank you for writing these hilarious characters.

Story was wonderful and hilarious. Another great story with tons of terrific made up foul words to lift your spirits.

Fiercely fun

What a fierce story! I absolutely had a fun time listening to this. It wasn’t just about Juliet and Rhys. The hilarity was all challenges that they had along with all the characters that were along for the ride. I mean a Martha and Jane road trip, freaking awesome. This was another fabulous story that was totally laugh out loud. Jessica Almasy and David Brenin were perfect to bring this Juliet, Rhys and everyone else to life.
