A Good Collection of Various Ghost Stories from The Past

This is a good collection. The authors are worthy of further study. I am glad that I read and listened primarily for that reason. These stories were assembled after World War One, approximately 1921.

Mister Munro, the narrator is very faithful to the written stories. I feel he is somewhat monotone. However that is a matter of personal taste and there is nothing actually wrong with his performance. The cost of the book was minimal. It is OK, but I would not wish to pay more than a minimal price for this work. Thank You….

Famous Modern Ghost Stories

Hey!

Yes, Okay.

Liked the length of this Book.

I think the narrator is at least a step above most Audible books, smooth enough.

I read these books to learn things more than seeking a pleasurable epiphany of sorts ,or to enjoy the hours.

I read like a student, even if I loathe the, random bad narrator or the book itself. I usually read it anywa.y...

97% of what I start.

I read the best long books several times.

I get attached to what I like, and delve in like a thirsty soul that needs quenched with water.

As with any anthology some stories are better than others. I purchased this at a bargain price to hear the less familiar ones. My issue is the narrator. His voice is gravelly and his cadence is something like reading a grocery list. There are odd pauses and enough mispronunciations to be annoying. I definitely wouldn’t waste a credit on it.
