War never changes, but it’s always unpredictable anyway....

Killian Black was a billionaire business mogul who knew that the only way to survive the coming war would be to use his futuristic backup body cloning technology to protect himself, but when the bombs are dropped and he wakes up in a strange, post-apocalyptic desert wasteland cloning facility, he realizes that things have gone very, very wrong. Years have passed, the staff are all dead or gone, and the backup process failed him. His clone was lost forever.

Fortunately, there was a fail-safe they installed: An emergency backup body cutover, designed to protect his consciousness in just this scenario. There’s only one problem: the backup body was a beautiful female clone, half his original age!

Now, Killian is trapped in the wasteland alone in an unfamiliar and feminine body, desperate for help and with nowhere to turn. When a band of raiders find this unprotected woman and capture her for their own twisted designs, Killian begins to wonder if he might not have preferred being alone after all....

Not Fallout & a missed opportunity

First, if the title and the description’s reference to war never changing had you thinking this story would at least give a tip of the hat to Bethesda’s favorite post apocalyptic franchise, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, this story has zero Fallout references and is much more “A Boy and His Dog” than anything else. It was also a completely missed opportunity of exploring how a man would actually react to having his body swapped for that of a voluptuous female. Instead, it was a short romance story about a diminutive woman finding her true love in the “wasteland” with the occasional reference to her former, stronger body. He literally goes from heterosexual alpha male to accepting his fate as a girl in about 5 minutes. No terror at the loss of his favorite body part, no fears of whether this makes him gay, or how his new body works, or the differences between how it feels compared to his former self, nope, the story goes right to him being female and falling for the first nice guy he meets. Also, I can suspend disbelief to a degree, but when an author describes bad guys being gross and stinky because, you know, it’s the apocalypse, I’m pretty sure that wasteland men are likewise not desperate to dive straight to getting a taste until they know the new slave girl has washed her butt first. If you like short Harlequin sex stories, this should fit the bill. If you’re a Fallout fan, who also likes slooty mods, and thought this premise would blend perfectly with the game’s wacky humor, you will be very disappointed. The narration was pretty good, with some decent acting, and overall I thought she did a fine job, but this story would have benefitted from a male narrator I think, for some parts anyway. Overall, I’m more bummed about the wasted potential (if that’s a pun, I didn’t mean it), so 3 stars from me.

I enjoyed it.

I kind of wish they included what Tyler did to the android. Overall, I enjoyed it. It was written well and narrated good too. Kind of motivated me to try getting back into writing as well. I listen to these while driving. I'm an Over the Road trucker.

Again, enjoyed it.

UTTER DRIVEL!🤬

I got this bc I thought it showed promise. A man has to live his next life as a woman. Should have been funny and interesting. Title also reminded me of Mark Tufo's work.

Moments of my life energy I can never get back!!!

In 2020, NO woman is the weak whore described in this book. I couldn't finish it. Discusting and not even close to good fiction. From what I heard, this cannot be written by a woman. If it was, she needs to have gender reassignment surgery.

Narrator wasn't bad but she should use her talents on a real book.

DONT WASTE MONEY NOR A CREDIT.
