Publisher's Summary

Story takes place in the Omegaverse. Book One in the Hobson Hills Omegas series.

Carter Benson is a lonely, scarred mess of an alpha. Honorably discharged from the army after being injured, he is left with very little that really matters. All he has is a trust fund he refuses to touch, burns on his face, and a brand new prosthesis. He doesn't have his family, he isn't near his friends, and his face makes small children cry. So he goes to Maine, finds a tiny town, and starts a business as a plumber. It doesn't help his loneliness, though. Until a little girl hunts him down and forces him to be her new best friend.

Elijah Wilson has lived in Hobson Hills his whole life. So what that most of the townspeople think he's a whore because he's a single omega and got pregnant at 18? So what if they think he takes advantage of his grandparents by living on their property? Elijah and his large extended family know better. They know that he hasn't dated anyone since before Olive was born. They know he works hard in the family business and is great with investments.

They know the truth, but it can be hard living in a town that doesn't care about the truth. It can also be really lonely. Until his daughter makes a new best friend. When the two men meet, sparks fly. Their lives change for the better, but life isn't always easy. Narrow-minded townspeople and greedy parents can cause a lot of trouble. But there's always hope. There's always love.

Author's Note: This is a m/m, non-shifter, mpreg love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There are a few potty mouths, so beware. Eighteen+ listeners only, please.

A Good Start

This was book 1 in the "Hobson Hills Omegas" Alpha Carter Benson he was injured in the army and to get away from his family he decides to move to Maine. Instead of going into the family business a lawyer he becomes a plumber and starts his own business. Elijah Wilson has lived in Hobson Hills his whole life he has a five year old daughter who decides that Carter is her new best friend. Elijah has been through a lot the towns people talk about him for being a single omega with a child. Elijah is also hard working and friendly he has three jobs and he manages his families investments. Carter who also comes from a wealthy family doesn't think he is good enough for Elijah because he has scars on his face and a prosthetic leg. When these two start dating they fall in love. When Elijah overheats his grandma and his aunt talk about his father threatening to take his daughter away from him. The Wilson and the Benson family comes together to stop his parents and rescue his brother. This was a good read and a good start for the first book in this series. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I also liked the narration as I read and listened to this book. I am looking forward to reading or listening to the next book in this series.

A story worth reading

This was a great little book. The story was fun, and well written. I liked the supporting cast if characters and the massive Wilson family. I don't want to give anything away, but I liked how justice was served and how Anna defended her nephew.

Family Fighting

This couple and their immediate click is great but what really makes this story so exciting is all the family involved both the good guys and the bad guys. This was a wonderful fast pace story. I listened to the Audible version and the narration was great.

The Wilson family came to life, the narrator sucks you in as much as the story does.

fantastic!

this was a fantastic story! definitely in the category of "insta-love" bit so well done you can actually buy that its real. set in an omegaverse but only a little of the discrimination thay often comes from those stories. have read this book about a dozen times and greatly enjoyed the audiobook.

the narration was pretty good. not awesome but it didnt get annoying to me at all which is saying something as i get irritated VERY easily by bad narration. there are alot of characters, so doing individual voices for each, especially considering most appear often in each book of the series, would have been an extremely tall order. i like that it wasnt really attempted honestly though there were some conversations that were hard to follow, as well as some areas where it was hard to tell if it was dialogue or just thoughts. all in all though i still enjoyed it. love being able to enjoy a good book while i knit.

great job. highly recommended!!

Wonderful start to the series!

I've enjoyed this series so much and was elated to find them in audio. Watching Carter and Elijah fall in love, build their family and deal with not only the town gossips but with Eli's parents was perfection! I've fallen in love with the omegaverse this author has created. And seriously, I want to move to Hobson Hills and be adopted by the Wilson's!
Both Carter and Elijah have their own issues to deal with but they come together so well. And while their relationship doesn't have a lot of angst, the obstacles they overcome more than make up for the easy relationship they share. And I enjoy the sweet love story showing them working together to beat the odds.
This is the first audiobook I've listened to with this narrator. Philip Fairbanks was a pleasant surprise, and I look forward to the next in the series.
A feel good story that makes my heart so happy!

A Delightful Story

... of a single omega raising his daughter with the help of his extended family. And finding love.

I've read the ebook, and enjoyed the story. When I had the chance to pick up the Whispersync audio, I grabbed it!

This is a fairly low agnst story, with lots of feel good moments. There are moments of stress and tears, and forgiveness, too. There is also wicked comeuppance for the dastardly duo, and a lovely HEA for our darling omega. It's a feel-good story.

Narrator Philip Fairbanks did a pretty good job of keeping the characters straight. It was quite a task as there are so many secondary characters: loads of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and town folk.

Sweet Hills of Hobson

This is the first book in CWGrays series “Hobson Hills Omegas” and it is mpreg at it’s sweetest. The book is about Carter, a wounded veteran and Elijah, a single omega farther and their journay to happiness.
The book is fluffy and sweet and perfect for a rainy day or if you need a break from everyday troubles. I highly recommend!

Enjoyable small town romance

This is my first C.W. Gray story and I really enjoyed the plot and the characters. It was easy to fall into the story and follow along as Carter and Elijah fall in love with a little push from Olive, Carter's young daughter. She provides a lot of comic relief and lightens the story. These are two men who are in need of the love and care of another, Carter meanly gossiped about by the town who don't know the actual circumstances of his life and Elijah who has physical disabilities from his time in the army and feels isolated from his family with how he wants to live his life. There's a bit of drama that comes in the form of Carter's parents but it adds a bit more to the tension and relationship building of the story.
I really enjoyed the romance and Carter's family, as many as there are, are friendly and want the best for Carter and Olive. I look forward to more from the people of Hobson Hills and the possible stories that will come.
This is also the first time I've heard Philip Fairbanks and he gives wonderful narration to the story. The voices and emotions are well portrayed and I look forward to hearing more from him in the future.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Sweet story - great narration

The story follows the established Omergaverse rules. Not a lot of angst as is the norm for these types of stories. Philip Fairbanks did the narration, he is definitely one to watch. I'll be looking for more of his work.
